LIVE THE DREAM: The Corvette is a legacy of pure power, wrapped in sensual good looks, known for pushing the limits of performance, styling and driving pleasure. 2008 revealed another exuberant supplier of Corvette’s brand of Americana — the Malibu Corvette Limited Edition Sport-V. This was a Malibu boat that challenged the conventions of traditional boat building with strikingly precise Corvette styling cues and Malibu’s extraordinary touches. The Corvette that runs on water is back for the 2010 model year.

LESSONS NOT LEARNED: WaterSki Magazine quipped “The ‘v’ in vRide stands for value,” and indeed the 21 and 23 vRide represent one of the best values in board boats today. Formerly known as Wakesetters, the vRide series has a long string of success stories in its wake, including an unprecedented string of wins for Dallas Friday in ‘06, Soven’s Pro Tour title in ’07, and started it all for many other Team Malibu Pro Riders. If you have taken lessons from pros Darin Shapiro or Gerry Nunn, you may have trained behind a vRide. If so, you already know the interiors are ergonomically designed for comfort and space.

The 23 vRide is a large family boat that will meet a water sports family‘s needs. In its previous incarnation as a Wakesetter, it has graced the waters of professional tournaments and some of the country‘s elite wakeboard schools, such as Darin Shapiro‘s Ride the Spot. With tested and professionally proven performance, the 23 vRide includes everything your family needs at an affordable price. It comes equipped with 400 pounds of Malibu Launch System (MLS) and an Illusion X tower, but you can add another 500-pound center ballast tank and the Patented Power Wedge for even more launch. However you configure it, the 23 vRide will carry 13 people and their gear for a fun day on the water.

THE SECRET IS OUT: The Response LXi is the “go to” boat for the Pro Ski Tour and the secret weapon of World Champions like Will Asher and Thomas Degasperi. Precision in the Response LXi goes from water-level, with the record-breaking hull design, all the way through the operations and monitoring of the advanced gauge panel. The 5” LCD embedded Medallion gauges border a Film Compensated Super Twisted Nematic LCD in the center that offers up advanced system information in a high contrast, easyto- navigate format. COMPROMISE IS A COP OUT: The Response FXi is Malibu’s answer to the avid skier’s growing family. A cross-over built on the 20-foot Cut Diamond Hull with a 98-inch beam and increased freeboard. Translation: performance plus room for family. Options such as the Power Wedge and Illusion G3 fold-down tower allow you to adapt to the boarders in the family. Even this professional’s tool is equipped for comfort because Malibu Boats’ engineers believe being on the water is more fun with simple, but functional touches like the standard swivel driver’s seat.

RECIPE FOR FUN: The 20-foot Sunscape 20 LSV bakes equal parts function, elegance and athleticism into the smallest, nimblest sport-v. Built on a Cut Diamond hull, this boat is designed for ride and water sports performance, with a running surface that consistently creates a flat wake. This agile v-drive chews up the course and delivers direct-drive type performance. The helm of the 20 LSV is as accommodating as a much bigger boat. A three-person observer’s seat and oversized swiveling driver’s seat offer the room and comfort you need when navigating, while the precision dash design serves up complete control.

NEW GENERATION: The Sunscape 21 LSV redefines family boat for the 21st century. Its frameless MH2 windshield extends the exquisite lines for a seamless fit and finish. The 21.5-foot Diamond hull flattens and softens the wakes at skiing speeds and the straight chine design enhances agility and improves the rough-water ride. WALK ON Just because your carpet has stain guard doesn’t mean you wear muddy shoes on it. Malibu owners feel the same about the resilience of our upholstery. We know it resists stains, bounces back, exceeds the demands of marine use and is pretty much indestructible, but that doesn’t mean Malibu owners like to walk on it. For those conscientious LSV owners, Malibu designers have created a rear sundeck walkover to make the trip from swim step to lounge worry-free. The 3D-modeled deck and Diamond hull were also designed for carefree enjoyment - shapes and angles created for perfect handling and smooth ride.

MEET YOUR WATER LIMO: The cab-forward design of the luxurious Sunscape 247 LSV separates this one from the pack. A lot of attention has been paid to the common seating area of this boat, but we haven’t neglected other seating options. The bow, just as comfortable and roomy as any other spot in the boat, transforms into a playpen with the addition of the removable filler cushion. Stainless steel bow rails have been moved inside the bow for easier access and to preserve the sleek look of the Sunscape 247 LSV’s deck. They were also addressing drivers, who will find themselves with fingertip controls at the helm of the VLX. The two-tone, hand-wrapped performance dash incorporates all the greatest Malibu innovations with ergonomics reserved for only the finest cockpits. From the push-button rider presets to the available MaliView 6.5” color LCD screen for systems management, the VLX features standard conveniences and controls that haven’t even occurred to our competitors.

LOFTY AMBITIONS: There are many forms of artistic expression, including functional design, as evidenced by the Wakesetter 23 LSV, which not only handles rough water with grace and stability, but also offers an enticing interior. The inviting interior includes a well-chosen space for the available MUX digital switch panel in the rear lounge. Boat functions, such as theater-style LED interior lighting, rider preset selection, stereo operation and other accessory controls, are accessible from LCD embedded switches. Soft to the touch, yet durable, panels of multi-texture vinyls encase three densities of foam comfort in the seating. Joined by perfectly-aligned seams and well-placed piping, it’s clear this boat was built with pride and artistry.

BIG AND BOLD: The 247 LSV is one big boat with equally big wakes. Designed for the very social wakeboarding lifestyle, this boat holds a whopping 16 people and plenty of storage for all their gear. This boat is so bold, we decided it was time to amp up the graphics to match its personality. The newly designed Wakesetter “WS” insignia is a three-dimensional piece that adds depth with intense reflection, highlights and shadows to the side of the boat. The word “Wakesetter” has been reshaped to convey the dominance of the Wakesetter series, with an edgy new look. Sweet!
