The Company was founded in 1954 by a Naval Architect, Raymond Pearlson of Miami, Florida, U.S.A. - the inventor of the syncrolift system. The first Syncrolift® was built in Miami, Florida in 1957, and is still operating today, using the same motors, gears and controls.
During the 1960's, Syncrolift®'s hoists for vessels of 100 tonnes to 10,000 deadweight tonnes were installed in many countries around the world. In most cases, onshore transfer systems were installed in conjunction with the Syncrolift® platform to permit the shipyard to accommodate several vessels at one time depending only upon the available land area.
