          • BioControl 4 and 8

          • The premium system for gas analysis and volume measuring supporting professional process optimisation

All plant operators producing electricity from biogas, sewage gas or landfill gas aim to optimize processes and thus ensure greater efficiency – in other words, obtain as much methane as possible. At the same time, however, harmful components in the gas need to be kept to a minimum.

Only constant monitoring of the gas composition in a plant can indicate changes in time and thereby prevent prolonged outages. The continuous monitoring of hydrogen sulphide (H S) prevents 2 expensive corrosion damages of the motor by giving an alarm in case of high concentration of H S in the gas. Also the oxygen 2 concentration can be monitored to avoid explosive gas composition in the motor.

            • LaserGasPatroller LGP 800

            • Vehicle-based solution for the network inspection of underground gas pipes economical – laser-based – fully automatic

The LaserGasPatroller is a vehicle-based solution for the economical network inspection of underground gas pipes. Gas leaks are detected when the laser-based measuring system LGP 800 is driven over the gas pipes. The LGP 800 is operated by the SeCuRi® SAT software system. SeCuRi® SAT is the world's most sophisticated documentation system for pipe network inspection.

              Principle

Natural gas (methane CH4) is a light gas which escapes from a leak in a gas pipe and diffuses through the soil to the road surface. As the LaserGasPatroller drives over the gas pipe, it draws in a sample, which is transferred to the LGP 800 measuring system and analysed. Leaks are detected and automatically recorded by the SeCuRi® SATsoftware.

              Measurement unit - LGP 800

The LGP 800 measurement unit is built into a very compact 19" metal enclosure. Its space-saving design means that the measurement unit can be mounted anywhere in the vehicle. All components are tested under harsh conditions, particularly in respect of vibration, which is an everyday hazard.

The LGP 800's sensor is based on the principle of Tunable Diode Laser Spectroscopy (TDLS). This method determines the concentration from a measured absorption of the gas in question, for example methane. The source of the radiation is a laser diode, which is why TDLS is classed as a laser spectroscopy technique. The laser measuring cell thus measures methane exclusively. There is no interference from other gases. The LGP 800 is also optimised with regard to electricity usage. With a maximum power consumption of 20 A, the system can be operated from a standard car battery. This means that electric vehicles can also be used.

With three external outputs, a rotating warning light or a siren, for example, can also be connected via the SeCuRi® SAT software.
            • Leakplotter

                • FLIS-EX / FLIS

                • Fresh air in the pit - inspect pits safely

Descending into the depths is dangerous. Large quantities of CO2 can be released due to pressure changes in wells and in ventilation shafts. Concentrations of more than 5 vol.% CO2 in the air a person breathes can lead to clouding or loss of consciousness or death. Faulty gas pipe lines near a pit or shaft are also dangerous. In narrow shafts, natural ventilation is insufficient. For this reason, providing for a supply of clean, fresh air is important before entering the shaft.
SEWERIN FLIS is the safe solution.
              • Test gases and test sets

                  • Automatic Test Sets ATS 503/501

                  • The test sets to gas concentration measuring and gas warning devices of the EX-TEC PM 5xx/400 series.

The test sets ATS 503 and ATS 501 can be used to carry out device inspections and adjustments to gas concentration measuring devices EX-TEC® PM 580, 550, 500 and 400 reliably and extremely efficiently.

The ATS test set can be operated in three modes:
If the test set is operated in Automatic operating mode, all the device inspections that are due will be performed automatically as soon as a device is inserted into the test set that is switched on. Only the device condition subtest must be completed manually by the user. If the Timer operating mode is selected, the device inspections start at a freely adjustable time.
If a measuring device fails the device inspection, adjustment can also be carried out automatically from the test set in these two operating modes.
In the Manual operating mode, the user starts the device inspection by pressing the key. The device inspection can be performed in two variants for the gas warning range: using a test gas and time-saving bump test or with an indication accuracy test.

                  • Testing equipments SPE

                  • for testing and adjustment of SEWERIN measuring devices

With regard to operational safety, test technology continues to grow in importance. The DVGW (German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water) Code of Practice G 465-4 describes the tests required for various device classes.

The Sewerin test sets take these circumstances into account. For example, all test sets have a manometer for displaying can pressure and an improved can connection to make handling easier. An extensive range of accessories, e.g. test gas cans, results in a wide range of applications.

                        • SeCorrPhon AC 200

                        • Water leak detection by correlation: professional – flexible – intelligent

The SeCorrPhon AC 200 is a multifunctional leak detector offering three functions in one: prelocation, pinpointing and correlation. The clever combination of these processes in one system allows you to confidently locate the leak regardless of the ambient conditions. With just a few finger strokes, you can quickly and easily switch between the various applications.

                          Professional

The user interface of the SeCorrPhon AC 200 is clearly and logically laid out. There are many extra functions available for complex location scenarios.

The high quality piezo microphones with frequency response optimised especially for leak detection and the digital signal processing offer outstanding acoustic properties. Thanks to the excellent sound quality and minimisation of sound interference, you can reliably identify and locate leaks even if the sound intensity of the leak is weak or there is significant ambient noise.

At the touch of a button the SeCorrPhon AC 200 will apply tailored filters to the current noises and will automatically select the appropriate frequency ranges. Alternatively, you can set manual filter limits according to your individual hearing and select frequency ranges which accentuate the leak noise. This allows you to concentrate fully on the leak without any sound interference.

In addition, you have the option of recording leak noises with the integrated audio player and comparing them with each other. You can use these recordings for training or demonstration purposes or to create a noise database, allowing you to better evaluate leak noises on site.

                          Flexible

All-in-one device: prelocation, pinpointing and correlation. The clever combination of these methods in one system allows you to confidently locate the exact source of the leak regardless of the ambient conditions.

The SeCorrPhon AC 200 is recommended for all users undertaking professional leak detection because it can handle any everyday location scenario. It can easily measure different pipe sections, pipe materials, diameters and pipe lengths.

With acoustic leak detection, the current sound intensity is displayed as a graph and as a numeric value on the large and clear 5.7 inch receiver display. Alongside, you can see the previous values for better comparison as well as the current frequency analysis of the noise.

                          Intelligent

The sophisticated firmware of the SeCorrPhon AC 200 means that the measurement sequence is almost fully automatic. Once the pipeline data has been entered and the measurement started, all other steps are performed without the intervention of the operator. The measured noises are constantly analysed in the background and the optimal filter settings selected.

The SeCorrPhon AC 200 guides the user through the various applications with instructions. This means that even users with less experience and occasional users can use the device with confidence.

The SeCorrPhon AC 200 independently optimises the measuring results by automatically selecting appropriate filters – without the user having to intervene. However, the filters can also be set manually.

One special feature of the correlator is its results-oriented, user-friendly on-screen display of the measuring results. Concrete information about the position of the leak is highlighted, instead of having to interpret complex curves. The quality of the calculations shown in the display provides the user with constant information about how reliable the measurement is. Thanks to the results-oriented view, the user can immediately implement further steps, e.g. confirm the location by acoustic means.

                          The measurement principle

The water flowing out of the leak in the pipeline causes the pipeline material to vibrate. These vibrations are transmitted throughout the line and can be picked up as structure-borne noise, even at distant contact points such as fittings. The vibrations are also transmitted up through the ground to the surface as ground-borne noise, although this is very muted. The AQUAPHON® system is your perfect companion for leak detection as it makes the vibrations audible to the human ear and records and visually displays the volume and frequency spectrum.

                          • Noise logger for monitoring water pipe networks: sturdy – convenient – reliable

                            Detect water losses early

Leaks in water pipe networks can result in significant water losses. Thanks to systematic monitoring of the network with SePem® data loggers, you can reliably identify existing leaks and catch new ones early on – much faster than with conventional methods.

                            Systematic leak detection

The SePem® system comprises the SePem® 01 Master receiver as well as any number of data loggers; the SePem® 100s are preferable for mobile use whereas the SePem® 150s are designed for permanent use. They are magnetically attached to valve rod extensions, or to hydrants or other fittings in the pipe network. The microphone integrated in the logger converts the structure-borne noise in the line to a sound signal. This is cyclically recorded during times of low consumption – usually during the night between approx. 2:00 am and 4:00 am, when there is very little sound interference in the surrounding area, if any. On a leak-free line the noise level measured during this time is virtually zero. If there is a leak in the pipeline, the noise logger will measure values much different to zero, thus indicating a leak.
                        • Correlators

                                    • System Combiphon

                                    • Acoustic location of plastic pipes

Plastic pipes cannot be located by conventional electromagnetic means because they are not electroconductive. A different principle is applied when locating pipes using the acoustic method: The pipes transmit mechanical vibrations better than the earth that surrounds them. When the pipe is caused to vibrate appropriately, these vibrations spread along the pipe to the earth's surface where they can be picked up by a ground microphone. In the same way as water leaks are detected by acoustic means, the pipeline is located where the intensity is greatest. This method can also be used to locate fibre cement pipes and metal pipes.

The COMBIPHON® system consists of the Generator G5 central control unit and various impulse generators, so it can be used anywhere. Stoppers or tappers are used to generate noises on the line which can then be acoustically detected by the AQUAPHON® or AquaTest T10 systems.
                                    • Glass fibre probe system

                                    • Detection of non-metal pipes

Non-metal pipes can be detected if the glass fibre rod can be inserted into the pipe in question. The rod is equipped with a copper strand so that it can be energized by a pipeline locating system such as FERROPHON® or UtiliTrac® using a generator and then detected using a receiver. In this way, the path of the pipe in question can be determined quickly and exactly to the last meter.

The mini pig transmitter is used for precise determination of the end of the glass fibre rod. This small, battery-operated transmitter generates its own field, which is detected precisely by a receiver. The exact depth can also be measured. The mini pig transmitter can also be used without a glass fibre rod. This makes a wide variety of uses with pipeline cleaning pigs, channel cameras, etc. possible!

                                        • SeViRO - locate plastic piping safely with Sewerin vibration pipe detection
For operators of pipe networks with plastic pipes, the SeViRO offers optimum detection results when the pipe path is unknown. This acoustic method is suitable for detecting pipes filled with liquids or gases.

Required for detection is a contact point to the medium that already exists or can be made at a known position on the pipe.
                                        • Odorant Control

                                        • As a safety measure for consumers, gases in the public gas supply must contain sufficient warning odor. The correct odorisation affects the gas such that it takes on a typical, distinctive odor which reaches the level of a warning odor before the gas concentration becomes hazardous.
