Then the pump station is connected to each tank with the appropriate pipelines. The pump paths can be adjusted flexibly with suitable knife gate valves.

Additional advantage: High throughputs ensure that relatively little time is needed for pumping substrate from e.g. the digester to a secondary digester or storage tank of your biogas plant.

        • Mixing Technology

        • When plant operators think about increasing efficiency and optimizing their plants, one of the first thoughts that come to their mind is mixing technology. Efficiency, operational reliability and the option to switch to lower cost substrates with high dry matter content are only a few of the topics on top of their requirements list.

In combination with the patented Service Box Pro or Classic, our PSM mixers supports you in making your biogas plant fit for the future. Further advantages of this combination are the fast access to the mixing technology in case of maintenance work or the easy height adjustment of the mixer.

If you are looking for a less expensive alternative to the Service Box, Anaergia Technologies MSE Pro is your solution. This external operating unit for mixers can be used in cylindrical concrete tanks with a wall height of up to 12 meters.

            • PSM Submersible Mixer

            • The PSM submersible mixer is available with three different blade sizes: 940, 1200 and 1500 mm diameter. Each blade size has its own strengths and can develop its full potential in different installations. Please send us an email if you would like to discuss which blade size is best for your biogas plant.

              PSM-940

              • For mixing of solids / substrates with medium dry matter content
              • GSuitable for use in Newtonian (water-like viscosity) as well as viscous fluids
              • Creates a turbulent flow due to the higher speed and geometry of the mixer blade

              PSM-1200

              • For mixing substrates with a medium to high dry matter content
              • The geometry of the mixer blade is designed for thrust development in viscous and highly viscous fluids
              • Generates a higher volume flow than the PSM-940 at a lower speed due to the mixer blade geometry

              PSM-1500

              • For mixing substrates with a low dry matter content
              • Suitable for use in low-viscosity fluids
              • Lower speed than the PSM-940, but also a higher volume flow due to the blade geometry
            • PSM XP Submersible Mixer

            • The PSM XP submersible mixer is the most innovative mixing technology currently available on the market. The powerful, gearless direct drive combined with the dynamic mixer controller delivers a mixing system that gets the most out of the energy it consumes. With full torque right off the line, floating layers and high solid digesters do not pose a problem for the PSM XP.

The PSM submersible mixer with an average power input of 7.5kW (10HP) to 12.5kW (16.5HP) is suitable for installation in all common tanks of biogas plants, wastewater treatment plant anaerobic digesters or anoxic tanks.

With the permanent synchronous magnet (PSM) motor, a gearbox is completely avoided, and high torque is available as soon as the mixer starts. Less wear means longer service life of the mixer and of course, less maintenance costs.

            • Servicebox Pro

            • With our Service Box Pro for anaerobic digesters and feedstock storage tanks with concrete or membrane roofs, operation of mixers is child’s play. Rotating the mixer to the left and right or adjusting the height is done from outside the tank within just a few minutes. General mixer maintenance can be completed on the Service Box platform thanks to the removable floor panel without lowering the level of the tank or even opening the membrane roof. That saves money and, of course, valuable time!

The Service Box Pro is ideal for installations in all anaerobic digesters and feedstock conditioning tanks with solid concrete and steel roofs and even direct integration into membrane roofs. The standard square pipe has a cross-section of 150 x 150mm (6inch x 6inch) and can be delivered in lengths of up to 12m (40feet). This makes it possible to integrate the Service Box Pro into a wide range of biogas plants or wastewater treatment plant anaerobic digesters.

            • Servicebox Classic

            • With the Service Box Classic for anaerobic digesters and feedstock storage tanks with concrete or membrane roofs, operation of mixers is child’s play. Rotating the mixer to the left and right or adjusting the height is done from outside the tank, thanks to the height adjustment winch.

The position and angle of the mixer can be inspected at any time with the integrated viewing window. The optional integrated over/underpressure safety device provides reliable protection of the tank. General mixer maintenance can be completed on-site by lifting the mixer until it is inside the Service Box and, after removal of the front lid, rotating it to the outside. That saves money and, of course, valuable time!

            • Service Box HP

            • Municipal digesters operate with biogas pressure higher than industrial or agricultural digesters. This allows for simpler biogas management without biogas booster blowers. The Service Box High Pressure (HP) has been specifically designed to meet the higher biogas pressure demanded at your municipal wastewater treatment plant. This Service Box is custom designed for municipal applications thanks to the corrosion resistant AISI 316 stainless steel construction, an integrated gas lock system to eliminate gas leakage during maintenance and Cl I, Div. 1 approved motors and cover plates.

With the Service Box HP, the operation of mixers is greatly simplified. Adjusting the position and the height of the mixer can be done from outside the tank, thanks to the proven winch positioning system. This allows for optimized tank mixing and confidence that your complete tank volume is utilized. General mixer maintenance can be completed on the Service Box HP platform thanks to the removable access covers on the floor and the front. All of this is possible without biogas release or draining the tank. As a result, there is minimal or no impact on the biological process. That saves money and, of course, valuable time.

            • Mixer Service Element Pro

            • With the Mixer Service Element Pro, or MSE Pro, the operation of mixers from various manufacturers, in cylindrical concrete tanks with a wall height of up to 12 meters, is effortless.

With the help of this external operating unit, you can easily rotate your mixer to the left and right or adjust its height. The clearance distance of approximately 1.80m from the tank wall allows flow paths behind the mixer to be optimized. An ideally mixed tank is the result. The option to control mixers from outside of the tank, without having to integrate it in membrane roofs, can be a good alternative to Anaergia’s Service Box for many plant operators. The mixer position can be determined reliably at any time with the sensors, and the hydraulic drive enables unproblematic use in the gas storage space. With the elevated MSE Pro, the liquid level in the tank only has to be lowered slightly or not at all for

            • Biogas Plant Repowering

            • Most of the biogas plants in Germany and throughout Europe have been in operation for more than ten years and reliably delivered electricity and heat. Over the course of the past few years though, many processes and products have been developed to enable a more profitable operation of biogas plants. Let’s look into how you can make your plant fit for the future.

              What does Repowering mean?

When speaking of repowering in the context of existing biogas plants, we refer to the adjustment of the plant to latest, technological developments in order to find and use unexploited potential. A typical repowering measure is e.g. the exchange of outdated mixers with innovative and sometimes twice as efficient systems, such as our PSM mixing technology.

                • Focus on the entire value chain

                • Whether you are planning small or extensive measures, it is important to always keep the entire value chain in mind. The above-mentioned example of converting to PSM mixers not only allows you to save up to 50% of your current energy costs, but also guarantees a continuous mixing of your fermenter and eventually improved gas yields. Additionally, the robust mixers enable you to change over from an expensive substrate like maize silage to cheaper but harder to mix substrates such as different types of manure.

Next to mixing technology, topics like optimized solids feeding or processing as well as larger double membrane roofs (with and without thermal insulation) are important elements of repowering measures. The experience of the past ten to twenty years has also shown that expensive roofs are best to be opened as little as possible. We therefore recommend the use of Service Boxes, which allow for a quick access to mixers and in general make the operation of biogas plants a whole lot easier.

                • Does repowering really improve the economic efficiency of your plant?

                • There is a wide variety of options to improve the efficiency of your biogas plant. When it comes to the question which repowering measure will bring the best return, the answer is all about the current state of your plant and how you want to use it in the years to come. Our experts are therefore developing individual solutions for each biogas plant to significantly increase the economic efficiency while taking your requirements as well as potential options of funding opportunities into consideration.

We have planned, built and /or equipped more than 1,600 biogas plants with leading UTS plant equipment. In addition, we have implemented repowering measures in many projects in order to increase profitability through higher operating efficiencies and minimized emissions.

Repowering enables you to benefit from our state-of-the-art, mature plant technology, know-how and experience. We deliver exactly what you want and what will be profitable for you – from individual measures to a complete package including tank construction.
