The product portfolio in drying technology comprises complete solutions that combine various drying processes as well as processes for cooling and calcining with granulating and screening technologies in a meaningful way. A classic in industrial drying is the rotating Drum Dryer Mozer System, which was developed many decades ago and is continuously optimized.

Allgaier's drying systems and plants are used in the processing industry for construction and mineral materials, in the mining, stone and earth, plastics and ceramics sectors, as well as for animal feed and fertilizers, pigments, recycling, in the food and pharmaceutical industries, and for biofuels/pellets.

With its plants, Allgaier offers comprehensive knowledge in the drying competence. The wide range of plants includes, among others, the Rolling Bed and Dispersion Dryers, Disc Dryer CDry, Fluidized Bed Vibration and Static Fluidized Bed Dryers/Coolers, Fluidized Bed Dryers/Coolers with Heat Exchangers, and the Combined Drum Dryers/Coolers Mozer System.

            • Fluidized Bed Dryer/Cooler

            • Fluid bed dryers can be used - depending on their design and mode of operation - for drying and cooling a wide variety of bulk materials or granulates, powders and other granular, flowable materials. Common types used in many specific applications are static fluid bed dryers or vibratory fluid bed dryers with vibration support based on the free swinging or the two-mass swinging principle.

            • Drum Dryer

            • The Allgaier drum dryers are used for drying free-flowing bulk solids. High throughput rates and the ability to handle solids with a wide range of particle sizes or fluctuating product properties are distinguishing features of these drying devices. They are particularly suitable for processing minerals, sands, slag, ores, and coal. These extremely robust industrial dryers are available as single-shell, double-shell, or even triple-shell dryers. The design and configuration ensure high performance in a compact space.

            • Flash Dryer - Model: Dispersion Dryer

            • Drying bulk materials with very high product moisture poses a significant challenge. The Allgaier Flash Dryer (based on the fluidized bed dryer design) tackles this task in just one drying step without product recirculation. With the spray dryer, it is possible to process fine and highly moist powders or filter cakes that disintegrate during drying and can be pneumatically conveyed out of the dryer.

            • Indirect Drying Drums

            • Optimum drying of solvent-based products with Indirect Drying Drums

Indirect Drying Drums use hot air as a convective drying technique. This enables significant savings in primary energy and fuel by using the preheated, dust-free and dry cooler exhaust air. The reduced oxygen atmosphere makes it particularly suitable for use in drying products containing solvents. Indirect Drying Drums are particularly suitable for non-adherent, easy-flowing and fine-grained bulk materials such as zeolite, gypsum, silicate powder and titanium dioxide.

          • Cooling

          • Industrial cooling of raw materials

In the industrial processing of raw materials, in many cases the dried or heated product must be cooled before further processing. Allgaier cooling systems and plants are used in the processing industry for construction and mineral materials, in the mining, stone and soil, plastics and ceramics sectors, as well as for waste/recycling, bio fuels/pellets, in the foodstuff and the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. The hot products can be cooled convectively with air (or other process gases, e.g. nitrogen). In this case, the cooling air flows around or through the products in direct contact. Indirect cooling offers an alternative to convective product cooling with air. Here, the hot solid is moved along one side of a separating apparatus wall, while the cooling medium (air or water) cools the wall from the other side. The cooling medium heated by product cooling can be coupled into upstream or downstream processes for direct heat recovery, which is why these indirect coolers make a significant contribution to sustainable management and environmental protection. Natural resources are conserved and production costs are reduced through energy savings. With its plants, Allgaier offers comprehensive knowledge in the competence cooling. The wide range of plants includes rotary kiln coolers, Fluidized Bed Coolers, Dispersion Coolers as well as their Combined Dryer-Cooler Systems.

The function of a fluidized bed dryer system basically depends on the respective type or its design and area of application. Generally speaking, the dampened material is efficiently dried and cooled within the system by a supply of hot gas streams (air or inert gas) in different drying/cooling zones, which is specially adapted to the respective requirements. The individual particles are kept in suspension in the system by the inflow of the process gas, so that each individual particle is ideally flowed around. Following drying, the product can optionally be cooled before the dried / cooled product leaves the fluid bed dryer via the product outlet.

              • Drum Dryer
