Incat is committed to ensuring the highest level of maintenance, operational reliability and efficiency for our expanding fast ferry fleet.
Owners and operators of Incat built High Speed Craft enjoy a high level of operational support, warranty and after sales service from the Incat Projects Section.
The Incat Projects Section is a network of personnel in Hobart and overseas representing the areas of research and design, mechanical engineering, structural engineering and quality assurance, with the support of the Incat production team at the Hobart shipyard and local Classification Society officers.
A major feature of Incat's Technical & After Sales Support unit, which was established in 1999, is the appropriately named VISIT, or Vessel Information Systems Interactive Telemetry. VISIT is a diagnostic service tool that allows Incat to save ship operators considerable time and many thousands of dollars each year by updating existing operational programs within minutes and analysing computer data from Incat's shipyards in Hobart. It allows Incat's main computer to "visit" the ships computer whilst in the vessel's region of operation, allowing technicians to communicate with the operator without physically having to travel to the vessels geographic location.
