Product Portfolio
  • VECTOR - pneumatic manipulator

    • VECTOR by IHF-JUNGENTHAL simplifies work sequences

    • VECTOR helps loads to be lifted, lowered, moved, swivelled and brought into an optimum working position by the operator with a low expenditure of force.

IHF-JUNGENTHAL provides economical and individual solutions for a multitude of handling problems for many applications. VECTOR is installed as an upright or overhead unit. The working range can be extended by an additional overhead carriage.

The arm and the gripping device can be moved in all axes. This guarantees 3 degrees of movement which can be extended to 8 by a swivel, rotary and travel unit. Every position is reachable. The arm design is based on the pantograph or crank arm principle and is suitable for different loads. In addition to individual customer specific solutions, IHF-JUNGENTHAL also offers a comprehensive range of standard handling systems. Depending on the type, the operating range can be conceived for radii of up to 3.600 mm. These systems are individually equipped with gripping devices.
    • Pneumatic drive and control for easy operation

    • A pneumatic low friction linear drive treats the VECTOR movement with care. With the up/down control (AS) the load is lifted and lowered by activating the manual lever. The balance control (BS) enables the load to follow the manual movement of the operator. A force ratio of 1:40 makes it possible to move heavy loads with low expenditure of force. Up to 4 loads can be set in the load memory and activated by pressing a button. The auto load sensing measures and balances automatically the weight of the load. This control allows the handling of any load size, without manual adjustments being necessary.
    • A firm grip on every problem

    • We design the individual solutions for your handling problems. All types of loads can be transported and positioned with external, internal and vacuum systems gripping devices. The gripping device loaded with the optimum pressure guarantees safe handling, your product is gripped carefully. Manually or pneumatically driven rotary or swivel units allow the load to be guided into any desired position.

We offer tried and tested solutions in the form of a large number of different gripping devices. For example, external gripping devices with a clamping width of up to 1.500 mm, external gripping devices for pressure-sensitive goods or high-temperature loads can be used, depending on individual requirements.
  • VECTOR Pantograph

  • We especially recommend the pneumatic handling system VECTOR as pantograph construction.

The Pantograph allows a direct and quiet smooth movement of load in all axes. The load capacity varies for each model between 80 kg and 460 kg, the working range is between 1,6 m and 3,2 m and the effective stroke between 1 m and 2 m.

The stroke direction and speed can either be controlled by two buttons analog through an Up-Down control or by a balance control. In combination to the balance control allows the rolling membrane lift cylinder a smooth lifting and lowering of the workpiece. There is no 'Stick-Slip effect'.

The VECTOR Pantograph can be installed on a column, under a steel construction or flexible and mobile on a movable floor panel or under a ceiling carriage on a railway.

The central compressed air feed makes a fast and endless rotation around the vertical axis C possible. The VECTOR Pantograph can optionally be installed including a pneumatic safety brake to be able to hold a parking position.
  • VECTOR crank arm

  • The most common VECTOR manipulator is the crank arm construction. We are only in this construction able to combine a high flexibility through the arms and a small height. This way it can also load machines, whose top is closed. The VECTOR is in a few models available. The load capacity differs between 50 kg und 100 kg, the working ares is between 2,0 m and 3,6 m and the effective stroke between 1 m and 2 m.

The stroke direction and speed can either be controlled by two buttons with a Up-Down control or by a balance control.

The VECTOR crank arm can be installed fixed on a column or under a steel construction or mobile on a movable floor panel or under a carriage on a railway.

Because of the central compressed air feed the VECTOR crank arm can be turned unrestricted around the central C axis. There are also pneumatic disc brakes to hold the device in a safe parking position available.
  • VECTOR linear

  • We developed the VECTOR linear to cover a big working range and/or to move heavy load. In combination with the rail system for the X and Y axes allows the stroke axis a direct and smooth movement of load in all three axes. The stroke device is built of telescoping aluminium profiles. In special cases we also use square tube made of steel. The vertical movement is working through a smooth running pneumatic cylinder or a continuously controllable electric gear motor.

There can be a gripping device mounting, a swivel drive or a gripping device attached to the flange of the telescope. The particular execution depends on the task.

The stroke device VECTOR linear is installed under a ceiling carriage and can be turned around the vertical axis. The ceiling carriage can be driven under a rail bridge (Y axis) and the rail bridge under a railway (X axis). Usually it will be controlled manually or depending on the weight of the load by a friction wheel drive. The railway is hanging off a steel construction.
  • Pneumatic lifting device VECTOR linear

  • The telescoping profile of the pneumatic handling device VECTOR linear is made of aluminium. The load capacity for each model is between 50 kg and 400 kg, while the torque load is between 500 Nm and 1.000 Nm and the effective stroke between 0,5 m and 2,0 m. The stroke direction and speed can either be controlled by two buttons analog through a Up-Down control or by a balance control.
  • Electrical lifting device VECTOR linear E

  • The electrical handling unit VECTOR linear E is as telescoping profile made of aluminium or steel available. The load capacity differs between 50 kg and 500 kg, while the excentric load is between 500 Nm and 1.500 Nm and the effective stroke between 0,5 m and 2,0 m for each model. Two roller chains insure the smooth operation and high safety. The stroke speed can be regulated continuously by a turning bar.
  • Pneumatic cable balancer VECTOR VS

  • VECTOR VS – pneumatic cable balancer for workloads up to 388 kg

    • The pneumatic cable balancer VECTOR VS facilitates hand-guided movement of workloads of all kinds. A clearly arranged operating unit makes VECTOR VS easy to handle.

Personal absences due to illness and injury can be reduced by VECTOR VS, which effectively relieves the company’s personnel in lifting, tilting and moving of medium or heavy loads. With a stroke of 1.000 to 3.000 mm and a lifting capacity of 55 up to 388 kg VECTOR VS is suitable for a large range of applications.

VECTOR VS is clean and nearly maintenance-free. With the material of all its components and no need of lubrication the operation under clean-room-conditions as well as in hazardous areas is enabled. VECTOR VS can also be supplied in stainless steel for pharmaceutical or food industry.
    • Safety
With a noise level of less than 65 dB (A) VECTOR VS poses a very low noise exposure to a company’s personnel. A safety brake system prevents an uncontrolled shoot up of the rope after the workload has been dropping down. An overload protection prevents damages of the lifting device due to overload. If the stroke power exceeds the maximum payload of VECTOR VS the balancer shuts-off immediately.

      Versatility
Depending on the purpose of application, a number of different controls are available (up-down-control, balancing-control). VECTOR VS can either be fixed to a rail system or to a pivoted swivelling-jib-crane. Therefore the handling system can be installed in almost every hall layout. These balancers contain a stationary ball screw. The ball screw is held in position by two hex head bolts (through the end cap and end cover). Two pins in the end cover engage notches on the end of the ball screw to prevent it from rotating. The reel assembly, consisting of reel, ball nut and thrust bearing, rides on the ball screw. The piston contacts the thrust bearing and travels back and forth with the reel assembly. The piston does not rotate. Compressed air powers the balancer. It is controlled by an external control package. Air enters or leaves the piston chamber through a single hole in the end cap. This compressed air causes the piston to move laterally. The piston pushes against the thrust bearing, causing the reel to move laterally along the ball screw and winds up the wire rope. The load or hook travels down when the air is exhausted from the piston chamber through the control package into the atmosphere.
    • Controls:
Several controls are available (up-down-control, balancing-control) for VECTOR VS. In addition to the standard up-down-control IHF-JUNGENTHAL Handhabungstechnik GmbH offers a balancing-control as well as a balance-control with electronic load detection.

      Up-down-control (AS):
Up-down-control is a pneumatic system which is activated by a control handle and mounted in the gripper housing. By this control handle the direction and velocity of the gripper are determined.

      Balancing-control (BS1):
This type of control is a pneumatic regulating system which by means of switching on / off automatically activates a pre-set load according to the load selected with the "Manipulator loaded / unloaded"-switch and thus activates the low friction drive. Utilizing this system it is possible to perform easy and accurate vertical movements without operating any controls.

Balance-control with electronic load detection (BS-AL):
The load will be lifted by using the switch „Up“. As soon as it is brought into a floating position, the balance-control will automatically save the preset load. The load now can be moved around the complete working radius.
By using balance-controls loads can be lifted, lowered and moved easily and accurately.
  • Articulated arm SK

  • Light parts often need to be moved fast and flexible, but for some reason a railway system cannot be used.

The articulated arm SK4 has a working radius of 4 m and a load capacity of 75 kg. In shorter editions are even higher load capacities possible.

The crane consists of a inner and outer arm made of hollow aluminium profiles. The arms are connected to the roller bearing by a pivot intermediate piece. This piece makes it possible to swivel the outer around the inner arm up to 180°. The whole covered surface can be used as working range. This way you have an working area of up to 13,5 m². Since the stroke drive and control are close to the main rotation axis it reduces the moment of inertia. The suspension rope of the stroke drive goes above the arms and then down.

The articulated arm SK is installed on a column, which is fixed to the ground. As alternative it could be hanging from a steel construction as well. Even a reconstruction is possible. The crane is able to stop in a position by using pneumatic disc brakes. A pneumatic stroke drive and the central compressed air feed make it possible that the SK can be turned around the column without stopping. An electrical stroke drive needs a rotation stop to protect the supply pipe.

We recommend the smooth running cable stroke device VECTOR VS as pneumatic stroke drive. They are available with a load capacity between 55 kg and 125 kg. The stroke direction and speed can be either controlled by two buttons analog through an Up-Down control or by using the balance control.
  • Railway systems

  • To cover big working areas it is easier to use a railway system for the Y and X axis to be able to transport objects even further. We are usually recommending aluminium railways, because you need less energy for the transport and they are quieter and more flexible.

Since aluminium crane profiles are very light and still stable, they are guaranteeing combined with light carriages and equal weight on each of the carrying rolls, a perfect smooth run and excellent ergonomics. In contrary to crane systems made of sheet steel you only need to accelerate, move and slow down half of the weight with a aluminium rail system.

There are four profile types available, although we use for all profiles only one carriage type and one suspension type. For the profile S, M and L, there is only one type of end stops. The design is for a maximal bending of f < I/500. The advantages of a aluminium rail system are the easier and cheaper installation and the possibilities of expansion. The combination of aluminium rail systems and carriages with roller bearings for a lower friction makes a reliable, durable and low-maintenance unit.

Almost every handling device in our program can be installed into a rail system. The manipulators VECTOR can be working manually or with a drive in a rail with one axis (axis X). A rail bridge with one carrier is suitable for a VECTOR VS to let it work in two axes (X / Y). The vertical stroke devices VECTOR linear or the storage and retrieval unit IHF-Depomat need a rail bridge with two carrier. They can be working manually or with a drive.

The handling and the rail systems are connected by ceiling carriages. The devices can either be turned as a whole or have a turnable gripping device. The ceiling carriage is able to drive under a rail bridge or directly under the railway.

The railway is hanging off a steel construction with a few fixings. The model of the steel construction usually depends on the structural requirements. We distinguish between elevated steel constructions and constructions that are hanging down from the roof truss of the hall. Less usual are projecting editions from the hall support.
  • IHF-Depomat

  • We developed a lifting device to load and unload shelves with small and medium workloads. The IHF-Depomat is suitable even for eccentric loads.

By using a railway system made of aluminium (Y / X axis) you can easily move the load through three axes. The Z axis can be turned around 330°. The load capacity differs between 125 kg and 400 kg, while the effective stroke is between 1,5 m and 5,0 m depending on each model.

The stroke speed and direction can be controlled by a turning bar through a electrical control. Additionally the stroke speed can be initiated continuously and every position is fast and sensitive approachable. The height of the turning bar stays constant, independent of the position of the gripping device.

The IHF-Depomat is delivered as a whole unit including a lifting carriage for the gripping device and the control elements of the lifting and load suspension device. The most frequent purpose is the loading and unloading of shelves. In other cases they are used to move platforms, ceramics and cardboard packaging. There are no limits for the use and function of load suspension devices. They can work as interlocking load spreader, as pneumatic gripping device or with vacuum
  • IHF-Storomat

  • The mobile storage and retrieval unit IHF-Storomat is an universal stroke device. Even though it has a lower load capacity and moment than usual electrical fork lift trucks, it is more flexible being smaller and lighter.

Depending on the model the device has a load capacity of 125 kg to 250 kg, a load moment of 950 Nm to 2.500 Nm and a effective stroke of 1,5 m to 2,5 m.

A version without the supporting feet in front makes it possible to drive close to machines, pallets or shelving.

The welded frame of the IHF-Storomat is made of stable steel tubing. Because of a long stroke carriage and optimised guidance in the mast gets the device a high maximal load moment. The unit has got two fixed rolls in front and two steering rolls with locking devices in the back. Two robust handles make the steering easy.

A hydraulic cylinder pulls up the stroke carriage with two rolling chains. The stroke speed can be continuously controlled and the hydraulic overload protection is adjustable. There is an automatical turn off signal for the hydraulic pump when the device reaches the end position.

A maintenance-free, high-quality 12 V-Gel-Battery with high capacity produced in Western Europe supplies the hydraulic pump with energy. The electronic is reliable and even avoids any extreme discharges. The case also contains a matching charger, a charging stand display as well as a standardized plug connection (IEC C13/14).
  • Gripping devices

  • The IHF-JUNGENTHAL Handhabungsgeräte GmbH offers many different handling units, but it can still be useless if you do not have the fitting gripping or load suspension device.

The load suspension device is the connection between your specific workpiece and the handling unit. This is why we are designing and manufacturing the load suspension devices for almost each customer, so it is optimal for their specific object. Only for common container and boxes we have got standardized load suspension devices.

The gripping devices are working mechanically, electrically or pneumatically. The workpiece can be hold in- or outside with friction- and/or interlock. Other models are working with vacuum or magnets.
    • Clamping - inside

    • The usage of handling devices is useful for a lot of applications. Because of the different forms and qualities of the objects, as well as the different location layouts there are many requirements for the load suspension devices.

Loads like paper and aluminium reels, boxes, container or similar objects cannot be gripped from the outside. That is why we offer a group of pneumatic or mechanical solutions, which clamp or grip the objects from the inside.

      Types of gripping devices:
      • Internal clamping mandrel
      • Internal clamping device
      • Hooking devices
    • Vacuum gripping devices

    • A safe lifting of sensitive load with gripper or scissor devices is not always possible, in those cases we recommend our vacuum devices.

      Design of the vacuum devices

The IHF-JUNGENTHAL offers two groups of vacuum devices: vacuum generator and vacuum gripper. These can be combined with different handling systems.

Vacuum generator: There are pneumatic (ejecting technology) or electrical solutions (pumping and side channel compressor) available.

Vacuum gripper: Vacuum gripper are very gentle to the materials. They can even handle flexible loads like sheet metal.
    • Magnet gripping devices

    • Workpieces made of steel can be picked up not only with the vacuum technology but with magnets as well. We offer the VECTOR just as the cable lifting unit VECTOR VS with magnet gripping devices. A swivel drive makes it possible to tilt the load upwards.

Either compressed air or electricity turn the magnets on and off. If the compressed air breaks down, the load will be hold safely.

The magnets are in standardized or custom-made sizes available.
