      • Shefcut reamers and fine boring tools are precision cutting tools for the manufacturing of close-tolerance holes with high surface quality. The tools have adjustable and replaceable cutting edges which are stabilized by the use of guide rails. They are placed so that the cutting forces are almost completely compensated.             PCD tools are the most economic solution for chip-removal with specific geometric cutting edges. No other cutting material achieves such outstanding cutting results. Each PCD tool of Kempf is designed to meet the required process specifications.
          • Carbide special tools:
            Carbide special tools can be designed and developed for a variety of machining operations. In particular, as reamers (e.g. Cermet-tipped step reamers), solid carbide step drills or solid carbide step cutters. We did already realize several styles of these tools, coated as well as uncoated, countless times.
          • Insert special tools:
            Insert special tools are characterized by the rapid and simple change of the cutting edges (for example, when signs of wear occur).             This high-speed steel with high hardness and wear resistance in remarkable toughness, can be used in most cases for roughing and finishing with good success. Taken into account the three selection criteria price, performance and availability, the C10 turns out to be 80 % superior of all applications than comparable alloys.

            C 60:
            This is a high-speed steel produced in the powder metallurgy method. The molten alloy mixture is dissolved by a gas atomization in fine powder, mixed and sintered under high pressure. The benefits of the C 60 are not alone in the high proportion of the alloying constituents, but especially in the particular manufacturing process. Compared to conventionally produced high-speed steels are the C 60 characterizes through higher wear resistance, better toughness and edge strength. Thus feed rate and cutting speed can increase up to 30%.

              The BCR tool is a simpler version of the CNF - chamfering tool . It is used in applications where grooving and chamfering tools of the standard ranges of the housing dimensions are too large. The BCR tool is an alternative to our CNF tool. While the CNF tools produce small, precise chamfers, the BCR tool can generate much larger chamfers with non-critical tolerances. The BCR tools works similar to the grooving devices, by an inclined slide. After contact of the polished, axial running-on surface with the work surface, the spindle feed is further deflected in a radial in feed.

            • Nobur - Tool

            • Flexible deburring in manual operation.

              The Nobur tool is a hand-operated tool for wherever the number of items is relatively small. The tool is often used in multi-walled workpieces. It removes large burrs and produces accurate chamfers. The tool shaft leads itself in the bore to be machined.A guided arm with the blade moves out to deburr the front and back of the hole in one operation. Since the tool is manually operated and thus rotates the spindle, there is no on or turn-off chamfer.
              The Nobur can either be used with a drilling machine, a lathe or each rotating spindle

              Characteristcs and Design:
              The Nobur tool has a freely movable, knurled arm, which is mounted on two ball bearings and ensures that the extension and retraction of the blade is slightly out of hand. The guide pin is chrome-plated to ensure a long service life. Standard sizes range from 3/32 to 1 inch (2.28 to 25.4 mm). The length of the guide part is from 9/16 to 4 3/4 inch (14.28 to 120.65 mm).

              The Ellipti- Bur was designed for deburring elliptical bore surfaces such as those arising at an angle when drilling into curved surfaces or when drilling.
              The Ellipti-Bur allows the user to external deburr these difficult holes quickly and thoroughly without special knowledge.

              Characteristics and Design:
              The Elipti-Bur consists of a spring-loaded and self-controlled conical drill bit, which places the device accurately for achieving optimal and consistent results. All important tool parts are hardened and grounded for long life. The tool can be applied to hand drills and drilling machines, CNC machines and machining centers. There are no special skills required.

              The tool consists of a pilot, a sinker and a depth control device (main body).

              The micro-limit countersink was designed for the production of precision cutting. The cutting pressure axial and radial is collected by the plan stock and thus enables precise machining and long tool life. The setting accuracy is 0.025 mm. The micro-limit countersink is used on all types of machines. Special skills are not required. The micro-limit countersink is also available with overflow use. Ideal for use on automatic units.                 Characteristics and performance:

            • Burnishing Tools

            • An unbeatable short processing time with high efficiency offers an old method, which is experiencing a new renaissance due to its effectiveness. This method is used when high surface quality is required or the desired surface finish can not be reliably reached by machining.

              Roller burnishing is a surface finishing process, in which highly polished stell rolls machine under pressure a workpiece with low strength. If the pressure generated by the roll overruns the flow limit of the workpiece material, the developed cold-working will change the working surface plastically. The deformation produces a glassy surface with high bearing ratio, throughly the burnished surface are characterized on the contrary to cutting processes.

              One or more rolls are acted upon a directional to the workpiece adjusted strength. In this way, a hight compressive stress is generated in the peaks of the roughness profile, which leads to the forming of the surface layer. In this case, the material volume of the peaks of the surface profile is displaced radially outwardly ( in the depth of the boundary layer). The material flows from areas of high compressive stresse (peaks) in the zons of reduced stresses and fills the troughs from below.

                • internal burnishing tools

                • Internal burnishing tools are suitable for machining holes with a diameter range from 4 mm up to 177 mm. The tools are adjustable in increments of 0.0025 mm. The required rolling force is created by the tool which has to be setted in a 0.01-0.02 mm greater diameter that has to be machined.
                  Type SRMR is for through bores with straighten rolls, type SRMB is for blind holes. On request the tool can be supplied with self feed (helix design with inclined rollers).
                  The tool are available in three lengths: standard working length and +50 mm or +100 mm working length. Longer versions on request. During the process the emulsion of the machine is used.
                • external burnishing tools

                • External burnishing tools of the type XBB are suitable for the machining of cylindrical outer surface in the area of Ø 1.5 mm to Ø 65 mm.

                  The external burnishing tools are available in two versions:
                  • Type Micro XBB – these tools have a smaller outer diameter, a small total length und are designed for the use in little series. The tools are available in diameter ranges from 1mm to 9 mm.
                  • Type XBB – these tools are available in diameter ranges from 1.5mm to Ø 65mm.

                  All XBB tools are suitable for the processing of shafts with collar and need a mechanical feed. The tools are adjustable in increments of 0,005 mm.

                  Burnishing tools do not need special devices and can therefore be use on all standard tool machines, e.g. lathes, drilling and milling machines and other. The use on CNC machines and special machines such as transfer lines and rotary indexing machines is also possible.

                • This type of burnishing tool is suitable for machining of external cylindrical surfaces, bores, faces, tapered bores, tapered outer surfaces and contours. Single roll burnishing tools can be used on drilling machines, lathes and machining centers. These tools work force fit. The burnishing force is transmitted to the rolling head over spring packages. Through lining the rolling force can be varied. This structure allows an easy reproduction of the roll result.

                • Diamond burnishing tools are simple and effective tools to economically edit high quality surface finishes on ferrous and non-ferrous materials at each turning machine. The handling is easy and the adjustment work on the machine is short. At all types of tools the diamond inserts can be changed quickly, some models even without taking the bracket from the machine.

                • Cogsdill CX machines burnish cylindrical diameters of each length in no time. The work pieces are finished due to highly polished precision rollers in a single run and also get surface solidified.                     Cogsdill generating head slides are designed for machines which the modulation path of the slider is controlled by a tie rod. The tie rod produces precise radial hubs, which allow the head to perform precise machining operations. The tie rods release the hubs pulling or pushing on the slide and can be controlled by CNC, hydraulically or manually.

                    Cogsdill generating heads are made of high quality materials after the most accurate standards. Our engineers incorporated quality features, which ensure durability and consistent accuracy. These features include hardened and ground parts, multiple grease fitting with internal lubrication and friction resistant coatings on the wear surfaces.
