Halogen-free cables & wires are applicable in delicate areas as, for example, public buildings and institutions or railway vehicles and in areas where the general safety requirements for cables are very high.
Besides being halogen free, the used cables have to be flame retardant and self extinguishing and are not allowed to enhance flame propagation. All those characteristics are combined in our halogen-free SABIX®cables & wires. Halogen-free SABIX® cables can be fully recycled and in separate components newly supplied to there source cycle. Cables with FRNC outer sheath avoid flame propagation in case of local flaming and are flame retardant and self-extinguishing acc. to VDE, EN, and IEC. They fulfil the smoke density acc. to IEC, EN, VDE, and BS.

Due to the high transmission rate and data flow, standard data cables are not sufficient any more. Control & connection cables are used for the current supply for any electric motor. In general, they have a green/yellow earth conductor in the outer layer of the twisted assembly. In order to avoid the spreading of occuring electromagnetic fields, we often produce control cables with tinned copper braiding. Furthermore, we produce cables with an outer sheath made of PUR which are appropriate for an application under harsh environmental conditions as, for example, in glass manufacturing or in metal chipping industries.

Data cables are used for the trouble-free transmission of signals. The small currents can be protected by aluminium coated PETP-foils, copper braidings and/or wrappings to 100 % coverage. The signal decoupling is additionally achieved by pairwise twisted cores. Our data cables are for example used for the transmission of measuring, control and voice signals in electronic control appliances or in switchboards.
Modern electronics and miniaturized appliances require data cables with smallest cross sections, best screenings and highest flexibility. SAB data cables meet these requirements to a high degree. Different types of screenings, i.e. single or double screens, tinned copper wrappings or braids, protect the cables against outer high-frequency interference. Different types of strandings (in layers or pair-wise) can prevent mutual interference of adjoining circuits. Especially in the computer era data cables have become essential and they must continously to the latest technical developments. The colour code with reference to DIN 47100 guarantees a perfect assignment of the cores for the connection of the cable. The cables are produced with reference to the usual DIN VDE regulations.
Compensating cables & thermocouple extension wires are used for the transmission of thermoelectric voltage from thermocouple to cold junction, the so called "black box".
Due to the different applications as for example in smelteries, cold stores or in liquid gas systems where always a reliable and safe transmission of the occuring thermoelectric voltage in mV must be ensured, the compensating cables & thermocouple extension wires manufactured by us are insulated with different materials respectiveley the thermoelectric voltage and cable are protected by braidings, foils and/or armouring.

For centuries people were only able to grasp temperatures subjectively as cold or hot. The invention of the first objective temperature measuring device based on the expansion of air goes back to Galileo Galilei approx. in 1592. Today, temperature measurement technique disposes of a great number of highly specialized sensors and methods that allow to determine exactly and reproduce the thermodynamic state of the matter and thus, its temperature almost between 0°K and, for example, the temperature of the sun.
Electric thermometers turn the physical value of temperature into a dependent signal. They are self-contained constructive components that deliver an output signal for further treatment. Dependent on the sensor principle, in most cases an auxiliary energy source is necessary. An important advantage results out of the good transferability of those electric symbols over far distances. The transducer and indicator of temperature can be situated far away from each other. The measuring signals can be integrated and treated with small effort into control respectively process guiding systems.

The temperature measurement with resistance thermometers (RTD) is based on the characteristic of conducting materials to change their electrical resistance with temperature. For metals, the resistance increases with rising temperature. If the relation between temperature and resistance is known, you can determine the temperature by measuring the resistance.
Resistance thermometers change their electrical resistance in dependence on the temperature or, in other words, resistance thermometers use the fact that the electrical resistance of an electrical conductor varies with changing temperature. In order to collect the output signal, the resistance is fed with a constant measuring current and the created voltage drop is measured. Platinum RTDs Pt 100, Pt 500 and Pt 1000 are used as measuring probes. They are standardized acc. to DIN EN 60751. Their resistance is 100 Ω at 0°C. The most different construction types of platinum resistance thermometers are applied in industrial measuring technique.

The optical 3D measurement technique offers a lot of advantages as for example a contactless and quick measurement and replaces more and more the classic and mechanical measuring methods. Moreover, the tactile measuring technique not only takes a lot of time but also bears a high source of error. The optical and contactless measurement processes are 10 to 1000 times quicker and the error rate is comparatively low.

SAB Bröckskes accepts this challenge and offers a highly flexible CATLine cable range for a combined power supply that is suitable for highly dynamic movements in 3D scanners and measurement devices. The Ethernet and hybrid Ethernet cables of this range guarantee a reliable signal transmission of 3D measuring data, geometrical dimensions of components and surface characteristics in 3D sensors, cameras, lasers and quality assurance systems.
