Easy Build Kitsets is a company that produces high quality kit sets and pre-assembled kit sets as well as finished products for marine and aquatic activities, garden and outdoor pursuits and children’s indoor and outdoor entertainment equipment. The Tri-Star 3500 recently won the award for the best sail boat of the New Zealand Boat Show as featured in their official magazine. For the past two years a team of three Auckland yachtsmen have been working on an exciting new project. The team’s objective has been to design and build a new class of high performance racing dinghy that could be produced in a simple kitset form. The designer of the Tri-Star 3500 is Barry Colson of Colson Yacht Design, styling and development of the Tri-Star 3500 and of the kitset is by Chris Brummel of Southern Star Marine NZ Ltd. They have made it as easy as they can for you to build your own Tri-Star at home. This makes the yacht an extremely attractive proposition for amateur construction and school or club building schemes. The new yacht would have to be faster and more exciting to sail than other similar sized boats. It would also have to look fast, be easy to sail and most importantly be easy to assemble.
