Vertiflex Products

Company Profile

Vertiflex was founded in 1944 as a producer of hanging file folders, steel desk accessories, and mobile file carts. Growth accelerated in 1991 when Vertiflex entered the ready-to-assemble arena with the acquisition of Westmark, Inc., a furniture manufacturer based in the Chicago suburbs. The huge potential of this market prompted a decision to sell the hanging folder business and focus entirely on furniture and accessories. With strong market acceptance of both wood and steel furniture offerings, the company took steps to further expand their market position. In June 1998, MicroCentre, a California-based furniture manufacturer, was acquired. This acquisition doubled the size of the company and broadened the product offering into training and education, modular systems and Ready-to-Use furniture. With a significant presence in the office products market, Vertiflex continues to fuel growth through the introduction of innovative products that keep the office organized, make computing comfortable and the workday more productive.
