Traditional furniture is produced using modern materials and methods yet the skills of individual craftsmen are still to be found in various areas of production, from the careful choice of veneers and veneer preperation throught to the skills of cabinet making. Great emphasis is placed on quality finish. All stains are mixed and applied by hand to give a colour and rich patina generally only found in the most expensive furniture. After lacquering, all items are 'cut-down' and 'pulled over' by hand in the manner of the old 'French Polisher'. Final wiring and waxing creates a hand polished effect so different from the spray-polishing and mass produced furniture which is common these days. The final finish will be enhanced by occasional polishing in the home to create items of elegance and beauty which will give pleasure for many year. Please read our care guide.
