        • Positioning lasers – Light the way

          Positioning lasers are always used where precision in alignment and positioning is required. They indicate certain positions safely and reliably on a wide variety of materials. As line lasers, they are often used on band saws, cross-cut saws, press brakes and various cutting machines. Therefore they are often found in the wood, metal or textile industry. As cross lasers, these laser modules reliably mark points for drilling or other processing steps. With the help of circular lasers, the correct positioning of round objects is made much easier.

        • Laser for machine vision

        • Lasers for machine vision from Z-LASER are used as structured illumination in many machine vision systems. The combination of laser illumination and machine vision offers interesting possibilities for the automation of optical quality control. With this form of illumination the spatial contours of moving and non-moving objects can be captured.

          The lasers are used in combination with an industrial camera to detect and measure defects, presence, diameter, edges, gaps and more. Depending on the type of objects to be examined, line lasers with homogeneous and thin line projections or different patterns (multi lines, dot grids, grid structures, random patterns etc.) as well as wavelengths (blue, green, red, IR) are usually used.

          Industrial laser projectors serve as optical guidance systems. In many manufacturing processes, they allow working without templates by indicating directly on the workpiece how tools have to be positioned or material has to be mounted.
          This can be the case, for example, in welding and assembly or in so-called light guide systems. In this way, laser projectors guide employees step-by-step through the assembly process.

          The laser projectors from Z-LASER are particularly convincing due to their fast and stable projection with a high repetition rate, so that visual flickering is reduced or at best prevented. The Z-LASER laser projectors are optimized for 2D and 3D applications and offer a highly accurate projection in the sub-millimeter range. The optical angles (80° x 80°) allow the coverage of large working areas.

              The ZD is a universal mini laser module with a diameter of only 11 mm, making it the perfect choice for devices and machines with limited installation space. Its compact form factor delivers impressive visibility, and it is available in line, dot, or cross projections. Typical applications include woodworking, stone processing, textile production, tire manufacturing, and metalworking—industries where precise alignment is needed even under tight spatial conditions. Available from green (520 nm, 10 mW) too red (635 nm, 15 mW) versions, it combines flexibility with reliable performance.

              The ZRG Module is a diode-pumped solid-state (DPSS) laser that emits bright green light at a wavelength of 532 nm.               The ZQ1-MagicLine is the brightest eye-safe line laser in its class worldwide, setting new standards in industrial laser technology. With its unique combination of laser class 2M safety and 600 mW optical output, it ensures a bright and precise line even in the most challenging lighting conditions. Unlike conventional lasers, it remains clearly visible in bright environments, making it ideal for positioning tasks with widely varying light levels.               The ZKV is a circle projection laser that uses a rotating mirror to project highly visible red or green circles onto the work surface. With the wired joystick remote control, the diameter can be adjusted seamlessly—from 270 mm to 1,400 mm at an installation height of 1,000 mm. This eliminates the need for conventional templates and makes the alignment of workpieces faster and more precise. Main applications include barrel construction and the production of wooden cable drums, where the ZKV increases efficiency and accuracy. Its simple operation and flexible adjustment make it a practical and reliable tool in industrial manufacturing.

              The Z5A Belt-Aligner is a laser-based tool for the exact alignment of belt drives and pulleys.
