    JAI provides a wide selection of industrial machine vision cameras with both single-sensor and multi-sensor configurations. Resolutions range from 0.3 MP to 20 MP, with high frame rates ranging up to 250 fps for full 5MP resolution. A selection of cameras can operate beyond the visible – in the ultraviolet, near infrared and in the short wave infrared light spectrums.

      • JAI provides a wide selection of single-sensor color area scan cameras with resolutions ranging from VGA to 20 megapixels. Cameras are built around state-of-the-art sensor technology including the latest CMOS global shutter imagers, as well as some with traditional CCDs.

        • Spark Series: CMOS area scan cameras with high resolution, high frame rates and supreme image quality.
        • Go Series: CMOS area scan cameras with small dimensions, high frame rates and cutting edge sensor technology.

      • 2-sensor prism-based color + NIR area scan cameras

      • JAI's 2-CCD multi-spectral prism cameras provide simultaneous images of different light spectrums through a single optical path. The cameras split incoming light into two separate channels - a visible color channel from 400-700nm and a near infrared (NIR) channel from 750-900+nm.

        • Multi-spectral imaging technology allows users to replace multiple inspection stations with a single camera set-up.
        • The Fusion Series comprises three multi-spectral cameras (from 0.8 to 1.3 megapixels).

      • 2-sensor prism-based HDR area scan cameras

      • JAI's HDR area scan cameras feature a unique 2-CCD design with two standard monochrome or color progressive scan sensors mounted to a custom-designed beam-splitter prism. The two CCDs are precisely aligned to the same optical axis, enabling them to simultaneously capture two real-time images or image streams of the same scene.

        • The Fusion HDR series comprises four different camera models with resolutions from 0.8 to 1.3 megapixels.

      • JAI’s prism-based R-G-B cameras separate the incoming light into red, green and blue wavelengths, which are directed to three separate image sensors.

        • The AP-3200T models features Sony Pregius IMX265 sensors.

        • JAI’s monochrome line scan cameras provide an excellent combination of high resolution and fast scan rates.

          The Sweep SW-8000M-PMCL model features an 8192-pixel linear CMOS sensor delivering a line rate of 100,000 lines/s (100 kHz) over a Camera Link interface. The SW-4000M-PMCL model is based on a 4096-pixels sensor capable of running as fast as 200,000 lines/s (200 kHz) over Camera Link.

          The model SW-4000TL-PMCL features a maximum line rate of 66 kHz for 24-bit RGB output, making it one of the fastest 3 x 4096 color line scan cameras on the market.

          • JAI’s TNL-50 is a compact, lightweight, high powered LED flash unit providing off-angle scene illumination with beam angles suitable for single-lane or dual-lane coverage.             • Wave Series

            • The Wave Series camera is a 2-sensor prism line scan camera capable of sensing Short Wave InfraRed (SWIR) light.

              The camera is based on Indium/Gallium /Arsenide (InGaAs) sensor technology and combined with JAI’s prism line scan technology, making it capable of delivering dual-band imaging in the SWIR light spectrum (900 – 1700 nm).

            • B-Series: High fidelity area scan cameras

            • The B Series features high fidelity area scan cameras providing excellent sensitivity and uniformity. These cameras are designed for applications that demand high image quality with traditional CCD imagers. The sensor technology in the B Series cameras deliver high levels of sensitivity, uniformity, and NIR response, while minimizing shutter leakage and readout noise.

              • The cameras’ versatile “cube” design allows good flexibility in terms of mounting and orientation. The B Series cameras are available in both monochrome and color versions.
            • C Series: Compact CCD area scan cameras

            • JAI’s C Series offers compact CCD cameras with resolutions from VGA to 2 megapixels. Since their introduction in 2007, the C-Series cameras have tackled a wide range of industrial applications.

              Their compact form factor, single-tap high frame rate architecture, and standard digital interfaces have provided vision system designers the flexibility and simplicity needed to switch from analog to digital interfacing with minimal mechanical/optical re-design.
              Most models in the C Series are available in monochrome and color versions.

              • Standard digital interface options include GigE Vision, Mini Camera Link, and Power over Mini Camera Link.
            • CV Series: Analog area scan cameras

            • With more than 50 years in the vision industry, JAI has created many different camera models over the years to meet the needs of a continually growing and changing market.

              While older models are regularly discontinued from the JAI product line, some mature product offerings remain available to support special needs. The CV-A1 model in the CV Series is a unique 1.4-megapixel analog camera with progressive scan output.

          • JAI provides several types of control software and development kits to support JAI cameras. For new customers, the latest recommended version can always be found on the Downloads page or in the Downloads tab of the product page associated with a specific model.

            The tables below describe the software packages available and offer links to current versions, as well as selected older versions which may be needed for some projects.

            eBUS SDK for JAI

            The eBUS SDK for JAI is a powerful new SDK for building vision systems that utilize JAI cameras. It is based on the eBUS SDK by Pleora and is specifically designed for use only with JAI cameras. The eBUS SDK for JAI consists of an SDK (Software Development Kit) and a Player.

            The eBUS Player is application software for directly accessing and controlling JAI cameras in a non-programmatic way. It can be used for testing and evaluation of JAI cameras with GigE Vision or USB3 Vision interfaces. The SDK is packaged software that enables system developers to easily build programs for integrating JAI cameras into vision systems.

            JAI SDK and Control Tool

            The JAI SDK and Control Tool is the original JAI software offering full compliance with the GenTL™,

            GigE Vision®, and GenICam™ standards. While the eBUS SDK for JAI is recommended for any new projects involving one of the list of supported cameras, the JAI SDK and Control Tool is available for ongoing support of existing systems or for systems involving cameras not on the eBUS SDK for JAI's supported list.

            It allows quick and easy integration of any JAI GigE Vision camera, as well as many of JAI's newest cameras with Camera Link, USB3 Vision, or CoaXPress interfaces.
