The Almatec E-Series represents the latest generation of plastic air-operated double diaphragm pumps made in solid design. Compared to the predecessor A-Series the following advantages are especially to mention:
The new Almatec C-Series AODD pumps are a cost-effective alternative to plastic pumps for all pumping tasks. The distinctive and proven solid design provides the mass needed for an oscillating pump.
The wetted housing parts are made of either abrasion-resistant polyethylene (PE) or chemically almost universally resistant PTFE. In addition, conductive versions with ATEX conformity according to directive 2014/34/EU are available. The material of the non-wetted center block is polyethylene or PE conductive. The three sizes C 10 (3/8"), C 15 (1/2") and C 25 (1") achieve max. flow rates of 1.3/ 3.1/7 m³/h at a total head up to 7 bar.
The housing parts of the C-Series are tightened to each other via housing bolts. However, instead of single bolts pressing punctually against the housing, all housing bolts are tightened together against a diaphragm-sized ring per side. This structure transmits the forces of the housing bolts into the housing parts evenly. A consistent flow of forces and an increased bolt torque are the effect of this construction - ultimately increasing pump safety.

CHEMICOR Metallic Pneumatic Diaphragm Pumps by Almatec
Designed for a variety of liquids, viscosities and applications
Particular attention has been paid to the form of the product chambers when designing the CHEMICOR metal air operated double diaphragm (AODD) pumps from Almatec. Result: soft contours, smooth flow channels and no dead spaces.
The three pump sizes in the CHEMICOR series permit a maximum delivery volume of 4.5 m³/h (AD 20), 9 m³/h (AD 32) and 24 m³/h (AD 50).

BIOCOR Air-Operated Double Diaphragm (AODD) Pumps by Almatec
Designed for sterile applications within the pharmaceutical, biotechnical and food industry
The ALMATEC BIOCOR air-operated double diaphragm pump series is especially designed for sterile applications within the pharmaceutical, biotechnical and food industry. The air-operated diaphragm pumps are EHEDG certificated as well as EC1935/2004 and ATEX conform. The special design with the integrated cleaning-system enables the CIP (clean in place) and SIP (sterilization in place) capability.
Always a demand for sterile applications: all housing parts of the BIOCOR pumps show no horizontal areas. Each pump comes with four ball lifting magnets, which can be attached to the pump housing from the outside at the location of the four ball valves. The ball valves are risen up magnetically out of their seats and the pump is drained entirely without having to be dismounted. There are no mechanical ball lifters with parts and seals in the wetted area (ball lifting magnets for B 20 and B 32 only).
The three pump sizes B 20, B 32 and B 40 achieve max. capacities of 3.5/7.5/17 m³/h (15.4/33/75 gpm) resp. a max. discharge pressure up to 7 bar (100 psig). The material for the wetted housing parts is electro polished SS 316 L (Basel Standard II, ferrit content < 1%) with a surface roughness of ≤ 0.4 μm. The center block is made of polyethylene conductive.
FUTUR Air-Operated Double Diaphragm Pumps (AODD) by Almatec
Designed for chemical supply and circulation for the semiconductor industry
Since 1984 ALMATEC manufactures special pumps for the chemical supply and circulation in the semiconductor industry. The FUTUR series is particularly developed for the special requirements of these applications.
The liquids handled in the semiconductor industry set different demands to the pumps. Therefore the FUTUR series is available in four materials:
Almatec® AHD and AHS Series Air-Operated Double-Diaphragm Pumps have been specially designed for the safe operation of high-pressure applications up to 15 bar (218 psig).
AHD high-pressure pumps come equipped with an internal pressure booster. With a maximum drive pressure of 7 bar (100 psig), they can build up discharge pressures up to 15 bar (218 psig). The “D” in AHD stands for Duplex, which means the reinforcement of the drive pressure is more than 2:1 by the internal pressure boosting stage. AHD Series pumps are available in three sizes (AHD 15, 25 and 40) with maximum capacities of 4, 10 und 20 m³/h (17, 44 and 87 gpm). A typical application of these pumps includes filter press feeding.
Available in two sizes (AHS 15 and 25), AHS Series pumps do not include an internal pressure booster. The extremely rugged construction of the pump makes it suitable for higher discharge pressures. The maximum driving and discharge pressure is 15 bar (218 psig). This makes the AHS Series an ideal solution for every application under heavy load conditions, from low discharge pressures variable to high-pressure applications. The “S” in AHS stands for Simplex, meaning the drive pressure is transferred to the medium in a ratio of 1:1. Due to the 1:1 ratio of the drive/discharge pressure, the corresponding air pressure has to be supplied from the compressor itself or an external pressure booster, also offered by Almatec.
Users who need a high discharge pressure of 15 bar (218 psig) – no matter whether it is with an AHD pump with internal pressure transmission or an AHS pump that achieves the discharge pressure by means of an external booster – can do so with peace of mind that the pump has been specially designed for such pressure ranges and does not have to be held together by external reinforcements.
CXM General Purpose Air-Operated Double Diaphragm Pumps by Almatec
Designed as general-purpose pumps for low to medium duty and also as drum pumps
ALMATEC CXM series of AODD pumps are used as general-purpose pumps for low to medium duty and also as drum pumps.
The new CXM series is available in four pump sizes with NPT and three pump sizes with BSP connections. This is possible thanks to the modular design of the pumps. The position of the suction and discharge ports of the NPT models can be changed by rotating the center block. The product connections of the BSP pumps sizes 25, 55 and 135 are located on the face side of the pump.
MM Series air-operated double-diaphragm (AODD) pumps have specifically designed to meet the strict standards, regulations and operational requirements that govern the food and beverage industry thanks to their use of food-grade wetted materials and a construction that provides easy cleaning.
Additionally, MM Series pumps also feature soft redirections without rotating parts and shaft seals in the product chamber. This design feature, when combined with the pump’s gentle displacement principle, results in a pumping solution that is ideally suited for a wide variety of food and beverage applications.
The MM Series’ housing is made from stainless steel 1.4404 (SS316L) and the pump’s wetted surfaces are available with a surface roughness of max. 3.2 µm. An optional version with a surface roughness of 0.8 µm is also available. The MM Series’ materials and design enable clean-in-place (CIP) and sanitize-in-place (SIP) capability. All the pump’s materials comply with the hygienic standards of the FDA, and pumps equipped with PTFE diaphragms and ball valves also comply with EC1935/2004. In addition, the pumps are ATEX conforming according to the 2014/34/EU directive.

Solid Body Design for
Strength and Smooth Operation
An important construction element in Almatec air-operated diaphragm pumps is the solid body design. Only a solid plastic body can support the necessary weight for an oscillating pump. The individual components can be designed, so that the required wall thicknesses are arranged where they are needed. The mechanical machining of a solid plastic block is economical thanks modern CNC technology, enabling tight tolerances to be achieved. The high static mass leads to smooth operation and eliminates the need for unnecessary external metal parts that otherwise be used for reinforcement. In all Almatec pumps, only virgin PE and PTFE, produced in Germany, are used.
