      • JAI's multi-sensor, multi-spectral prism cameras provide simultaneous images of different light spectrums through a single optical path. The cameras split incoming light into two separate channels - a visible color channel from 400-700nm and a near infrared (NIR) channel from 750-900+nm.

        This makes it possible to simultaneously inspect surface properties or printing, as well as sub-surface defects or other information which is optimally detected at NIR wavelengths.

              The camera is based on Indium/Gallium /Arsenide (InGaAs) sensor technology and combined with JAI’s prism line scan technology, making it capable of delivering dual-band imaging in the SWIR light spectrum (900 – 1700 nm).

              Multi-sensor camera technology is a JAI core competence and over the years JAI has delivered cameras covering RGB and NIR into various applications.

              The Wave Series camera brings 2-sensor imaging to the SWIR light spectrum providing extra “hidden” imaging data. This capability enhances current machine vision systems with imaging beyond what is possible when imaging the visible and/or the near infrared light spectrum.

              The Wave Series opens up a range of new applications in automated visual inspection.

          • JAI provides several types of control software and development kits to support JAI cameras. For new customers, the latest recommended version can always be found on the Downloads page or in the Downloads tab of the product page associated with a specific model.

            The tables below describe the software packages available and offer links to current versions, as well as selected older versions which may be needed for some projects.

            eBUS SDK for JAI

            The eBUS SDK for JAI is a powerful new SDK for building vision systems that utilize JAI cameras. It is based on the eBUS SDK by Pleora and is specifically designed for use only with JAI cameras. The eBUS SDK for JAI consists of an SDK (Software Development Kit) and a Player.

            The eBUS Player is application software for directly accessing and controlling JAI cameras in a non-programmatic way. It can be used for testing and evaluation of JAI cameras with GigE Vision or USB3 Vision interfaces. The SDK is packaged software that enables system developers to easily build programs for integrating JAI cameras into vision systems.

            JAI SDK and Control Tool

            The JAI SDK and Control Tool is the original JAI software offering full compliance with the GenTL™,

            GigE Vision®, and GenICam™ standards. While the eBUS SDK for JAI is recommended for any new projects involving one of the list of supported cameras, the JAI SDK and Control Tool is available for ongoing support of existing systems or for systems involving cameras not on the eBUS SDK for JAI's supported list.

            It allows quick and easy integration of any JAI GigE Vision camera, as well as many of JAI's newest cameras with Camera Link, USB3 Vision, or CoaXPress interfaces.
