Tubular heaters are highly compacted heating elements which are supplied in straight or bent condition. Heating elements are used in a wide variety of industrial applications due to their high performance capability.
Heating elements can be bent while in cold condition and they are intended for the heating of solids, fluids and gaseous media. Tubular heaters which are often installed in industrial Öffnet internen Link im aktuellen Fensterscrew plug immersion heaters, Öffnet internen Link im aktuellen Fensterflange heaters or Öffnet internen Link im aktuellen Fenstercirculation and flow heaters are bent into a U-shape. We produce heating elements up to a straight length of 7 meters or bent to suit the respective application.

Heavy-duty cartridge heaters consist of:

Ring band heaters for heating machine tools and manufacturing equipment
Available with capacities (surface load) up to 3,5 W/cm²
Voltage: 230 V~ or 400 V~
Electric heating elements for heating industrial liquids are used in a wide variety of different applications.
The classical example, heating water, includes domestic water, circulating water, marine or sea water and demineralized water. For each application a correct design and dimensioning of the heating elements is required. Our whole range of immersion heaters and circulation heaters supports a various number of applications where heating up water is desired.

Screw plug immersion heaters or screw-in heating elements consist of a brass connector which is equipped with three U-shaped immersion heater tubes. These tubular heating element can be either soldered or welded in a threaded nipple.
Screw plug immersion heaters can be delivered with an extensive range of accessories such as different connection boxes and temperature controller and/or limiter. Depending on the application, the screw plug immersion heaters are manufactured individually.
The screw plug immersion heaters are mounted in a tank or in a specific machine component. The heating element is fastened with an existing socket or a locknut. Compatible locknuts and medium resistant seals are available separately.

Scope of application - Cartridge heaters with ceramic heating elements
Cartridge heaters by HERBST are used for preheating lubricants for gears as well as thin oils such as heating or hydraulic oil in tanks and vats. Cartridge heating elements are also suitable for thermal oil applications and to heat turbine oil.
The advantage of the use of cartridge heaters is that the ceramic heating element can be exchanged any time without drainage of the medium since the protection tube remains in the tank.

Electric circulation and process heaters for industrial applications
Circulation heaters are very suitable for an efficient heating of fluids and gases. The petrochemistry, shipbuilding, medical technology, industrial cleaning technology, plant construction and process engineering are typical areas of use.
Circulation heaters are manufactured according to customer specification and/or explicitly customized to the personal requirements of the purchaser:

For preheating hydraulic oil and direct heating of industrial fluids
Depending on the intended use and specific requirements different types of electric heating elements and gas heaters are suitable for heating of air and gaseous media.
For direct heating of non-flammable gases we recommend finned tubular heaters which can be installed separately in maschines and vessels or together in a heating baterry or in duct heaters.
Electrical air and gas heaters consist of a heating bundle with flange mounting to be inserted into ventilation shafts and basins or with housing and inlet and outlet connections, knwon as duct heaters.

In order to obtain optimum heat transfer and heat distribution the tubular heaters can be supplied with finns. The finned heating elements enable higher power outputs in often smaller installation spaces.
Depending on the flow conditions the power consumption of the heating elements can be increased by two or three times. Therefore, the amount and the length of tubular heaters needed for an air heater can be reduced.

Gas pre-heater for indirect heating of gases
Gas pre-heaters made by Herbst Beheizungs-Technik consist of an electric heating element and a tube coil which are both cast in an aluminium block.
Industrial and process gases or even fluids are directed through the tube coil which is heated up by the aluminium block, thus, ensures an extremely constant and precise heat transmission.
The illustrated standard version can be individually adapted to customer’s requirements. Other connection types, capacities and dimensions are available on request.
