      • Eddy current sensors from Micro-Epsilon are designed for non-contact measurement of displacement, distance, position, oscillation and vibrations. They are particularly suitable when high precision is required in harsh industrial environments (pressure, dirt, temperature).
      • Capacitive sensors

      • Capacitive sensors are designed for non-contact measurement of displacement, distance and position, as well as for thickness measurement. Due to their high signal stability and resolution, capacitive displacement sensors are applied in laboratories and industrial measurement tasks.       • Interferometers (white light)

      • The innovative white light interferometers from Micro-Epsilon set a benchmark in high-precision distance and thickness measurements. These sensors enable stable measurement results with sub-nanometer resolution offering a comparatively large measuring range and offset distance. The absolute interferometers are available in 4 series: the IMS5400-DS for high-precision absolute distance measurements, the IMS5400-TH for accurate thickness measurements and the vacuum-suitable IMS5600-DS for distance measurements with picometer resolution. The IMS5420-TH is used for wafer thickness measurement.
      • Laser distance sensors

      • Laser distance sensors are designed for non-contact distance measurements: laser gauges for measuring ranges up to 10m, laser distance sensors for up to 270m. These sensors are used for positioning and type classification in machine building and handling equipment.
      • Inductive sensors (LVDT) and gauges

      • Micro-Epsilon offers a large range of inductive sensors for displacement and position measurement from conventional LVDT sensors and inductive sensors with integrated controller to customer-specific high-volume versions.       • Magneto-inductive sensors

      • mainSENSOR is based on an innovative measuring principle, which has been developed by Micro-Epsilon in order to combine the advantages of both inductive and magnetic sensors. Magneto-inductive sensors are frequently used as alternative to inductive sensors and proximity sensors in process automation, the packaging industry and in machine monitoring.
      • Draw-wire sensors

      • Draw-wire sensors of the wireSENSOR series measure almost linearly over the entire measuring range and are used for distance and position measurements between 50 mm and 50,000 mm. Draw-wire sensors from Micro-Epsilon are ideal for both direct integration and subsequent assembly in serial OEM applications, e.g., in medical devices, lifts, conveyors and automotive engineering.

        • Rotation speed sensors are used to monitor, regulate and control mechanical drive systems and play a major role when it comes to protecting elements of a rotational system (e.g., in the engine, drive) from mechanical overload. Micro-Epsilon offers two sensor systems for rotation speed measurement. The capaNCDT CST6110 is a universal rotation speed sensor for counting tasks and rotation speed applications of any type. Moreover, the turboSPEED DZ140 measuring system is specifically designed for the detection of turbocharger rotation speeds.

        • Color sensors and LED Analyzers

        • The colorSENSOR CFO is a new controller for precise color recognition in industrial measurement tasks. The CFO series is distinguished by high color accuracy, state-of-the-art interfaces and intuitive operation. The controller is connected to CFS sensors with integrated optical fibers, which can be adapted for different measurement tasks. The colorSENSOR CFO is used in color recognition tasks on interior parts such as head supports, in packaging control or in color sorting tasks with crown caps, closures or labels.
        • Fiber optic sensors

        • The optoCONTROL CLS1000 optoelectronic fiber optic sensor is suitable for use in automation thanks to its variable switching outputs. The CLS1000 is used for reliable position monitoring as well as for position and presence detection. The fiber optic sensor comprises a CFS sensor and a CLS1000 controller. The wide detection and operating ranges of up to 2000 mm make the fiber optic sensor ideal for the detection of components even at great distances. Due to the small design of the CFS sensors, the CLS1000 optoelectronic fiber optic sensor series is particularly suitable for use in confined installation spaces.
        • Interface and signal processing units

        • The interface and signal processing units extend the field of application of Micro-Epsilon sensors. The interface modules are used to convert sensor signals into digital or bus-compatible interfaces. This enables interfaces such as USB, RS422, Ethernet/IP, Profinet and EtherCAT for numerous sensors. The signal processing units are also used to record several sensor signals, to calculate and output them together. This is necessary, for example, for planarity measurement or thickness measurement.

          • The new generation of Micro-Epsilon’s 3D sensors impresses with high accuracy during measurement and assessment of components and surfaces. The surfaceCONTROL and reflectCONTROL inspection systems from Micro-Epsilon are intended for matt and shiny surfaces respectively. The 3D snapshots are recorded in a short time and provide detailed 3D point clouds.

            These 3D sensors are used, e.g., for geometric component testing, position determination, presence checks and the measurement of flatness or planarity. Thanks to their high performance, the sensors are used for inline applications, on robots and also for offline inspection.

          • Optical precision micreometer

          • Optical micrometers from Micro-Epsilon operate according to the transmitted light principle (ThruBeam micrometer). Here, the transmitter produces a parallel light curtain that is transmitted via a lens arrangement into the receiver unit. The beam is interrupted if an object is in the light path. The resulting shadowing is detected by the receiving optics and output as measurement value. Most optical micrometers are used for dimensional measurements in production, machine monitoring and quality assurance. Parameters such as diameter, gap, height and position are detected with high accuracy.
          • Laser profile scanners

          • Laser scanners from Micro-Epsilon are among the highest performing profile sensors in the world with respect to accuracy and measuring rate. They detect, measure and evaluate profiles on different object surfaces without contact. The available models with different measuring ranges are ideally suitable for industrial applications.             • thicknessGAUGE sensor systems are used for precise thickness measurements of strip materials, plates and sheets up to 50 mm. Several models with different sensor types, measuring ranges and measuring widths enable inline thickness measurements of different materials and surfaces based on an unmatched price/performance ratio.

              This fully assembled system comprises a stable frame on which two optical distance sensors are fixed, which detect the thickness of the measuring object according to the difference principle. The sensors are perfectly aligned to each other in terms of their mounting condition. Furthermore, thickness calibration at the factory enables high precision thickness measurements.

              A linear axis moves the sensor system from the parking position to the measuring position. A measurement standard for fully automatic calibration is in the parking position.
