Draw Wire Sensors
- Draw wire sensors are low-cost, compact sensors which accurately measure the position or change in position of objects. Core components of a draw wire sensor are a precision measuring wire and a sensor element (e.g. potentiometer or encoder), which convert the path change into a proportional electrical signal. The maintenance-free draw wires are particularly quick and easy to assemble and are used because of their reliability in all areas of industry.

Non-contact Inductive Sensors
- Non-contact inductive sensors generate a high-frequency electromagnetic field. Eddy currents are generated in metallic measuring objects within this field, which lead to a change in inductance. This distortion of the inductance is in turn influenced by the distance, the material and the size of the object. The sensor detects the change in inductance and converts it into a proportional output signal.

Eddy Current Sensors
- The distance, the position or the change of position of an electrically conductive material can be detected contactless and wear-free by an eddy current sensor. A high-frequency alternating current feeds a coil in the sensor head. The resulting electromagnetic field induces an eddy current in the material to be measured, perpendicular to the excitation field. The resulting change in the AC resistance of the coil is directly proportional to the distance of the sensor from the target material.

Encoders and rotary transducers
- This sensor class measures angle changes in rotating parts with high precision. The measuring method of the digital encoder is based on periodic tick marks, which are available incrementally as TTL, HTL, or absolutely in the form of bus interfaces (Profibus, SSI, CANopen, Profinet ..). Analog angle sensors, however, convert the angle change that is to be detected into an absolute signal by means of a potentiometer.

Ultrasonic Sensors
- Ultrasonic sensors measure without contact the distance to the measurement object, regardless of color and material. Ultrasound is a high-frequency oscillation emitted by the sensor, which is reflected on the measurement object and is received back in the form of an echo. From the travel time of the sound, the sensor calculates an analog output signal proportional to the distance. A classic application for ultrasonic sensors is level measurement.

Capacitive Sensors
- The capacitive measurement principle was invented more than 40 years ago and has proved its effectiveness ane reliability in innumerable applications. The capacity of a capacitor is influenced by the distance of its electrodes. This correlation can be used for the distance measurement. The sensor heads measure without contact and with an extremely high resolution the distance to conductive targets. The connected electronics display the measurement result directly on a meter (KS series). All electronics provide an analog output signal, proportional to the measured distance, that can be used for further processing. The capacitive probes provide reliable results even under extreme conditions, like in nuclear radiation, close to 0 K, or in high vacuum applications.

Digtial Length Gauges
- Digital length gauges are high-precision sensors and offer accuracy over the entire measuring range. They feature consistently high accuracy over a long period of time as well as high thermal stability. Whether the part measures 10 mm or 100 mm, its actual dimension is always measured with the same high quality. Length gauges are built for a great variety of applications and are used in an industrial environment. They have a wide range of applications in production metrology, in multipoint inspection stations, measuring equipment monitoring, and as position measuring devices.

Signal Conditioners
- Signal Conditioners, also known as Signal Converters, are used to convert output signals of sensors into different signals.
For example: the signal conditioner PMX-24 converts the signals of sensors with potentiometric output into analog signals like 0…10 V or 4…20 mA. Signal Conditioner PMX-24

Display Controls
- If you require a visualization of the measured values provided by a sensor, WayCon offers you the perfect solution for all common sensor signals with our display series PAX and WAY. Due to the modular design of our displays they can easily be equipped with a variety of output cards so that further processing of the data by controller or PC can be done. Functions, such as resetting to zero, setting limits, linearisation, scaling and many more add to the universal applicability of the displays.

Velocity sensors
- Velocity sensors by WayCon developed for industrial applications measure the distance travelled per time unit. Velocity is measured in a linear manner on an axis, where the sensor emits a signal proportionate to the speed. Like distance sensors, velocity sensors are subject to various physical measurement principles which have their strengths and weaknesses.
Speed sensors particularly serve to monitor travel distances in automated processes, such as for cranes, supplying significant information that is vital to automated warehouse management. Speed sensors are also utilised in numerous other areas, including the paper industry, to measure the differential speed between stock flow and sieve. Velocity sensor VX-Series
