Johnston Industries

Company Profile

Johnston Industries, Inc. is an award-winning domestic manufacturer of industrial, home furnishing / hospitality and specialty textiles. Johnston's innovative woven and non-woven fabrics are produced at ten modern plants with approximately 3.5 million square feet of space, housing capabilities that include cotton, poly-cotton and polyester yarn manufacturing; cam, dobby and jacquard weaving; dyeing; finishing; waste fiber reclamation; pad production; and composite fabric construction. Johnston was one of the first domestic textile companies to integrate dyeing and finishing capabilities with yarn manufacturing and weaving, allowing Johnston to offer value-added processes, reduced lead times and integrated product development and design capabilities. Johnston's home furnishing / hospitality products include printed and woven residential and contract upholstery, upholstery substrate, decorative jacquard cloths, napery, bedding and others. Johnston's industrial products include seat suspension fabrics, abrasive substrates, and belting and hosing fabrics. Johnston's specialty textiles include earth friendly reclaimed waste fiber and products manufactured from reclaimed fibers, such as mop yarns and padding. Specialty textiles also include Johnston Industries Composite Reinforcements, Inc., which makes VECTROPLY® and other sophisticated multiaxial non-crimp reinforcing fabrics from fiberglass, carbon, and aramid fibers for a wide variety of highly engineered construction, transportation and recreational applications. Johnston's products are usually components of other manufactured goods, such as motion furniture, stadium seating, rubber belts and hoses, footballs or beds. Accordingly, Johnston's customers are typically manufacturers who require tight quality control, short delivery lead times and continued product improvement and innovation. Johnston is committed to these principles.
