      • Anaergia provides solutions to increase the efficiency and can transform wastewater treatment facilities into assets that are net producers of electricity in a number of ways.

            Internal combustion engines provide a flexible and efficient means of converting biogas into base load electricity for plant operations or sale to the grid. Alternatively, Fuel Cells could be used to reduce emissions by over 80% and further increase net electrical efficiency.

            Heat recovery systems are utilized to capture waste heat that can be utilized for offsetting natural gas demand for digester heating or biosolids drying.
          • Capacity Increase

          • Anaergia can provide an OMNIVORE™ retrofit package to more than double the capacity of an existing anaerobic digesters.

            Anaergia’s OMNIVORE™ solution is designed to retrofit existing anaerobic or aerobic digesters in order to increase capacity without adding new digesters.

            The system processes waste streams with solids content two to three times higher than conventional digesters by decoupling the solids retention time from the hydraulic retention time using a proprietary mixing and recuperative thickening processes. The net result is double the digestion capacity in the same digester volume.
          • Co-Digestion

          • Anaergia can provide an OMNIVORE™ retrofit package to double the biogas production of a typical digester by co-digesting local organic wastes.
            The Omnivore™ can increase the total solids content in a typical digester from 2% to as high as 6% through the proprietary thickening and mixing solutions. The added capacity can be used to digest local organics wastes including food processing waste, source separated organics and contaminated organics such as restaurant waste or cafeteria waste.

          • Anaergia provides integrated solutions using proprietary and exclusive technologies to dewater, dry or pelletize sludge.

            Internal dewatering technology and unique drying technology allows Anaergia to offer highly economical solutions to convert sludge as low as 16% total solids to a dry product at over 90% solids.

            • Waste Diversion

            • Anaergia extracts over 95% of the organics from mixed waste streams and highly contaminated source separated organics streams. The organics are cleaned and digested in proprietary Anaerobic Digestion systems that produce a high purity biogas that can be used to generate renewable energy or fuel.
            • Renewable Energy

            • Unlike traditional waste to energy systems that combust waste or product gases, Anaergia generates renewable energy from the biogenic fraction of waste using internal combustion engines or fuel cells. This improves net electrical efficiency and substantially reduces greenhouse gases.
            • Renewable Natural Gas

            • Anaergia can use the biogenic portion of waste to generate a renewable natural gas called biomethane that is over 98% methane. The high purity gas can be sold into the local gas distribution grid. The solution is ideal for locations with relatively low power prices, limitations in the electrical grid or where electricity generation is undesirable to the local community. The process does not have combustion products or large exhaust stacks.
