                    • The new 40 A uninterruptible Power supplies ensure reliable availability of safety-critical systems in the case of power failure. The system secures 12 V, 24 V and 48 V systems, either battery-powered or with capacitive energy storage.

                    • EasyB - The modular 24 V circuit breaker system

                    • The modular 24 V circuit breaker system of the EasyB series offers its users an explicit added value by numerous equipment versions and extensive accessories in addition to the tailored circuit protection. The circuit breaker modules, optionally with communication interface, can be operated individually or create one electrical and mechnical unit by attaching them to each other. With a width of only 12 mm, flexibility and space savings are two big advantages of EasyB. The system doubles space saving with the new 2-channel circuit breaker. It combines two independent protection channels within the same enclosure. Installation and wiring are significantly easier since the signal terminals are connected automatically by attaching them. For power circuits in which more than two loads are to be supplied, output distribution modules with eight additional outputs are available. Besides the Modbus RTU, the new IO-Link module is available for communication purposes.

                      In order to protect Transformers against overcurrent according to standards, specific protective measures are to be initiated by the user. Such measures are now no longer required, thanks to the BLOCK FAIL-SAFE transformer. The following examples illustrate the unique range of advantages of the FAIL-SAFE transformer.

                            • Extremely durable
                              The economic LED drivers of the PLED series set standards in their class. They provide outstanding performance against transient overvoltages and therefore are extremely reliable and durable. LED drivers are the first choice no matter if simple switching or dimming is necessary.

                              High service life
                              Very high efficiency, a highly sophisticated topology and the right component dimensioning lead to a very high service life of more than 50.000 h at maximum ambient temperature up to 60 °C.

                              Dimming
                              In addition to an output current selector switch with two positions the LED drivers provide dimming via an optional 1-10 V interface. With this interface the output current can optionally be set passively by an external resistor or actively with a separate control unit. The range for setting the output current varies from 10-100 %.
                              The 1-10 V interface provides a reinforced insulation against line input as well as LED output, thus providing total flexibility when installing dimming controllers in the driver.

                              LED protection against overtemperature
                              To protect the LEDs against overtemperature an external NTC can be connected to the driver. When exceeding the maximum temperature the driver reduces the output current to 50 % of the adjusted LED currents, thus safely preventing the LED from overheating.

                            • Fuhr offers a fully automatic electro-mechanical locking system for doors made of plastic, aluminium or wood. For the power supply, BLOCK developed a short-circuit-proof, electronically controlled switched mode power supply for the most diverse of door profiles. From consulting, through development, right up to EMC compatibility testing of the entire system – everything was custom-built by BLOCK in close cooperation with the customer, Fuhr.

                              • 100% interference-free washing

                              • With its industrial washing machines, offering capacities from 5 kg to 73 kg, Belgian company IPSO has made a name for itself worldwide. And it was the mobile BLOCKLAB that made this possible, since BLOCK Belgium performed comprehensive EMC tests directly on site during the development phase. This rapid production-based application resulted in an excellent price/performance ratio for the customer. However, BLOCK engineers did not have a great deal of space to work with, as the filter-transformer combination had to be fitted in the last available space within the machine.

                                The complete solution, developed and produced by BLOCK, keeps the machines permanently free of interference: Shielding as per class B (EN 55011) at 17 to 37 A, controlled by a transformer at 63 to 500 VA, insulated with BLOCKIMPEX.
                              • High-frequency access

                              • An aircraft ground power supply provides aircraft with power after landing and before taking off. This involves a considerable amount of power, based on 400 Hz. To ensure high reliability, even over a long service life, BLOCK developed a high performance transformer specifically tailored to these requirements for mobile use. The BLOCKIMPEX sealing system keeps everything running safely, whatever the weather.
                              • Interference-free error messages

                              • For fire alarm control centres manufactured by detectomat, BLOCK supplies a "complete unit", consisting of a toroidal transformer and an interference filter mounted within a single housing. The components are prewired and connected to a terminal. The unit has been matched precisely to the size of the fire alarm control centre.

                                  BLOCK's new in-house developed winding technology 4D PowerCoil is taking performance optimization of inductive winding products into a new dimension.                                 • All-pole sine filters solve EMI problems on frequency inverters
                                  Due to the increase in system networking and in light of Industry 4.0, high-frequency interference pulses pose a constant risk for communication across the entire production process.
                                  Not only does the new SFA 500 all-pole sine filter series from BLOCK solve a multitude of such EMI problems, it also increases the efficiency of drive systems controlled by frequency inverters.

                                • During operation, inductive components generate losses which must be discharged into the surroundings in the form of heat. By employing fluid cooling, significantly greater heat dissipation can be achieved, which allows an increased performance and reductions in size.
