Since it began as a research and development company in 1981, FARO's vision has been to revolutionize the world of three-dimensional (3D) measurement by providing fast and accurate 3D measurement and orientation of any object in space-large or small, inanimate or animate.FARO's products include the FaroArm, a portable measurement arm, and FARO CAM2 Software, a family of 3D measurement and analysis software programs. Together, these products integrate the measurement and quality inspection function with computer-aided design (CAD), computer-aided manufacturing (CAM), and computer-aided engineering (CAE) technology which results in improved productivity, enhanced product quality and decreased rework and scrap in the manufacturing process.
FARO's world-wide presence includes corporate headquarters in Lake Mary, FL, European headquarters in Stuttgart, European offices in France and the UK, an office in Canada, Japan, as well as seven offices in the US.
