Schaeffler Smart Maintenance Tools, formerly Bega Special Tools, founded in 1978, is an internationally operating company. Since August 2021, Bega has been part of Schaeffler. As “Smart Maintenance Tools” we are part of the Schaeffler Lifetime Solutions division (formerly Industry 4.0). We are a manufacturer and distributor of special tools with our own brand name BETEX®. These maintenance tools are used for safe, cost-effective assembly and disassembly of bearings and drive components.

The tools are used in production and maintenance departments in MRO and OEM companies. Schaeffler Smart Maintenance Tools exports through a network of distributors and supplies all types of industries. Due to our specialization, we supply (customized) solutions, for example, in the wind, rail, mining and steel industries.
