The solid shaft gearheads of the RH-N series are based on our compact RV-N component sets. They are a perfect plug and play solution and directly ready to use. That makes these precision gears ideal for use in machine tools, in modern rotary indexers and in different handling applications.

The gearheads of the RD_-E series are more compact and versatile than ever. Three different models allow for numerous types of use, e. g. with the choice of the servomotor. A high-precision, extremely resistant and extra durable, latest-generation gearbox is concealed in the interior.
The servo gearboxes of the new Neco® series feature high power density, extremely effective corrosion protection, and maximum flexibility in the motor connection – all in an elegant and compact design. Furthermore, we have developed a modular system that allows the customer to configure a custom gearbox quickly and easily.
Fields of application for the Neco® series:Nabtesco component sets stand for maximum precision, extremely low vibrations and low inertia. Our ingenious two-stage cycloidal design makes the gears insensitive to shock loads and allows high torques. The force transmission via rollers guaranteed high efficiency ratio of up to 85 percent and a long service life. The component sets of the RV-C and RV-N series also feature integrated angular ball bearings. Hence, there is no need for the customer to provide bearings, as well as the manufacturing costs for the bearing mounts.
We developed the component sets of the RV-N series as very compact, lightweight and high-performance solid shaft gears. These gears are used in applications with limited space that require high torque performance. Perfect for robotics!
Applications for RV-N solid shaft component sets:
RV-C gears are your ideal choice for very demanding applications. They have a hollow shaft through which power supply cables, drive shafts, etc. can be fed. The RV-C component sets are compact, lightweight and offer high torsional and moment rigidity. Thus, the RV-C gear series reaches exceptional repeatability and path accuracy.
Applications:
The solid shaft gearboxes of the RF-P series were designed for applications with extremely limited space. That makes them ideal for use in arm axes of Delta and SCARA robots or in wheel drives of Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs).

The basis of our precision gears
The RV series forms the basic version of our component sets and therefore the basis for our entire product spectrum. It stands for high reduction ratios and low backlash. The output bearings can be defined individually.
Applications:
Rotary indexers and positioners are additional external robot axes for positioning of workpieces. A positioner normally has several axes, for example one for turning and one for pivoting the workpieces. The rotary movement is generally carried out by rotary indexers. Rotary indexers are therefore often installed as components in positioners. If the application requires a pivot axis, the tables can also be used separately. Conventional rotary indexers are usually equipped with worm gearboxes, which show signs of wear over time, due to their inherent design. Cycloidal gearboxes on the other hand are designed to operate with very little wear and with extremely low backlash of less than one arcminute. Even after extended periods the increase in backlash is negligible.
The two-stage reduction ratio of cycloidal gearboxes is what makes Nabtesco solutions so successful. The reason: The speed is reduced by the double cam. The two-stage reduction principle and the low mass inertia minimize vibrations. In addition, the eccentric roller construction achieves very even distribution of the force, which ensures minimal hysteresis losses and enormous resistance to shock loads.

We developed the gearheads of the RS gearboxes especially for positioning very heavy loads. The robust precision gearboxes with a hollow shaft are designed for axial loads up to 9 t and feature a compact construction, outstanding torque performance, and high positioning accuracy. These features make the RS gearboxes ideal not only for use in rotary indexers and positioners, but also present a real alternative to conventional rotary indexers.
We developed the RS series specifically for positioning heavy loads. These hollow-shaft gearheads feature an integrated right-angle gearbox and sturdy, heavy-duty construction.

Our classic: The Nabtesco lubricant Molywhite Grease RE 00 is an EP lithium-based grease with excellent wear resistance. It is based on a combination of synthetic and mineral oils with an organic molybdenum compound. The lubricant features an excellent pressure profile. Due to its low viscosity, Molywhite RE 00 easily flows into every crevice of the RV gear’s complex lubrication system. This ensures high performance of the gearbox for increased efficiency and a longer life.
Since 2008 we fill our gearboxes only with the Molywhite successor Vigogrease RE 0. However, you can still purchase Molywhite Grease RE 00 from us! In addition, used Molywhite can be mixed with Vigogrease.

Strain wave gears consist of three elements: the ring gear (a cylindrical ring with internal gearing), the flexible ring (a cylindrical, flexible steel bush with external gearing), and the wave generator (an elliptical steel disc with a centric hub and a special elliptical, flexible special ball bearing).
