          • Affordable SWIR camera targets cost-sensitive volume markets

            The Bobcat-320 is a small, high performance shortwave infrared camera. Its thermoelectric cooler ensures excellent low noise and low dark current characteristics.

            The Bobcat-320 targets cost-sensitive volume markets such as laser beam analysis applications, sorting & recycling industry and investigation of defects inside silicon semiconductor material. This shortwave infrared camera comes with a CameraLink or GigE Vision interface and has a low weight, low power consumption and is small in size.

            With the Bobcat-320 SWIR camera you can look through glass, so the use of standard available C-Mount lenses and protective camera housings is no problem. Again making this infrared camera affordable for a wide variety of industrial applications.
          • Bobcat-320-Gated

          • Extremely short 100 nsec integration time for SWIR gated imaging

            The Bobcat-320-Gated SWIR camera operates in the 0.9 to 1.7µm spectral band. It provides extremely short integration times down to 100 ns. The Bobcat-320-Gated makes use of a highly sensitive TE1-cooled InGaAs detector that has a 20 µm pixel pitch. This compact gated imaging camera contains real-time on-board image processing and image correction. All at a very favorable price point.

            The Bobcat-320-Gated is equipped with trigger-in and jitter-free trigger-out. A special feature is the programmable trigger-out delay between the internally generated trigger-out pulse and the start of integration. It is configurable from 100 ns up to 1ms in steps of 100 ns, or 1 ms to 40 ms (in standard mode). With all these features, the Bobcat-320-Gated SWIR camera is ideally suited for gated imaging applications and the inspection of hot or fast moving objects.

          • Tigris-640

          • High speed MWIR camera extendable into the SWIR realm

            The Tigris-640 is a cooled midwave infrared (MWIR) camera equipped with a state-of-the-art InSb or MCT detector. It has a resolution of 640 x 512 pixels and a pixel pitch of 15µm. This thermal camera is equipped with a number of unique features including a motorized filter wheel. Interfacing is either done via its GigE Vision or CameraLink output. Analog out, HD-SDI and triggering are also available.

            The Tigris-640 is available with an MCT or InSb detector and each version is available with a BroadBand option. This option allows you to increases the sensitivity of the camera into the shortwave infrared (SWIR) realm.

            The Tigris-640-MCT offers 14-bit MWIR images at a maximum full frame rate of 117 Hz. The Tigris-640-InSb features a digital detector with selectable 13, 14 or 15-bit ADC, and high gain or high dynamic range mode. This version offers a maximum frame rate up to 357 Hz. If that is still too slow you can increase the frame rate by using its window-of-interest (WOI) mode.

            All Tigris versions are optimized for highly stable thermal imaging and thermography in R&D and industrial applications.
          • Cheetah-640-CL

            The Cheetah-640-CL camera is the fastest InGaAs infrared camera in the world. The camera has been designed for applications where high speed imaging matters. Whether for adaptive optics, spectral analysis in the SWIR band, tracking of fast and hot objects, electro-coalescence, etc.

            This unit is equipped with a dedicated high speed InGaAs detector array working up to 1.7 μm and comes in three speed versions: 444, 865 and 1730 Hz. It allows you to visualize the ultra high speed features of your specific research application.

            The TE1-cooling reduces dark current and improves signal to noise ratios for contrast-rich and stable imaging performance.

            The Cougar-640 excels in performance for any R&D spectroscopy or semiconductor failure analysis task. These demanding applications, where very low light levels need to be measured, require cameras with low dark current, low noise and best response in the SWIR range. All of these features are now combined in one single camera.

            The in-house developed InGaAs detector of the Cougar-640 is optimized for 77K operation, using Liquid Nitrogen (LN2) cooling and is based on a SFD (Source Follower per Detector) read-out topology for ultra-low noise levels ever seen (15 e-). Integration time of several hours is possible with the RWI (Read While Integrate) feature with nondestructive readout and very low dark current of less than 10e-/second.

            The Cougar-640 features a high image resolution of 640 x 512 with a 20 μm pixel pitch and full 24 bit ADC. Camera interfacing is provided via standard CameraLink for ease of integration.

            The Serval fulfils a growing demand for ruggedized and reliable thermal cameras for industrial imaging applications without the need for third-party enclosures.

            The Serval thermal camera is directed at demanding indoor uses, such as in-line process and quality control in harsh and hot industrial environments. In this highly specialized field, system integrators are looking for new solutions in terms of easy and maintenance-free installations as well as long-term stability.

            This thermal infrared camera is designed for long-term stable and reliable operation under difficult ambient conditions. Its compact form factor provides front window protection with air purge to avoid costly repair or replacement of the lens; and to allow permanent use in dust-loaded atmospheres.

            The Serval-640-GigE Thermography is a LWIR camera in an IP67-rated enclosure. The camera is developed for demanding indoor applications in harsh, hot and dusty environments. The goal was to design a thermal camera able to measure temperatures that can be used, with a minimum of maintenance, in extreme environments.

            The Serval-640-GigE Thermography has 4 standard on-board calibration ranges. Xenics offers calibrations from:

            • -20°C to 120°C
            • 50°C to 400°C
            • 300°C to 1200°C*
            • 1000°C to 2000°C*


            *Using ND filter. A calibration with ND filter cannot be combined with another calibration without ND filter

            This allows you to measure temperatures from -20°C to 2000°C.

            Due to its compact IP67 housing, the Serval-640-GigE Thermography does not need a third party enclosure, keeping the costs for system integrators down. The camera is also equipped with a lens cap with front window that protects the lens and avoids costly repairs or replacements of it. This lens cap is equipped with an air purge that keeps the lens clean in dusty environments.

            As its name suggests, the Serval-640-GigE Thermography has a GigE Vision interface. The camera is easy to integrate in third party software by C related programming languages and the optionally available LabVIEW SDK.

            The Xeva-2.35-320 is a compact digital camera operating a T2SL detector array for imaging in the 1.0 to 2.35 μm wavelength range. The camera features a resolution of 320 x 256 pixels with a 30 μm pixel pitch. It outputs 14-bit data and comes in a 100 Hz (USB 2.0)
            or 350 Hz (CameraLink) version.

            The camera interfaces to a PC via standard USB 2.0 or CameraLink. Each camera is delivered with a Graphical User Interface (GUI) Xeneth, which offers direct access to various camera settings such as exposure time and operating temperature. The camera allows for exposure times from 1 μs to 60 ms in high dynamic range mode (with TE4 cooling).

            Through its advanced thermomechanical design, the Xeva-2.35-320 achieves excellent performance levels using a TE4-cooled device operating down to 203K.

            The Xeva-2.5-320 is a compact SWIR camera equipped with a T2SL detector array for imaging in the 1.0 to 2.5 µm wavelength range. The camera features a resolution of 320 x 256 pixels with a 30 µm pixel pitch. It outputs 14-bit data and comes in a 100 Hz or 350 Hz version.

            The Xeva-2.5-320 SWIR camera interfaces to PC via standard USB 2.0 and CameraLink. Each camera is delivered with Xeneth software, which offers direct access to various camera settings such as exposure time and operating temperature.

          • XCO-640

          • Highly stabilized and superior optical performance for long range monitoring

            For stable medium to long range imaging, Xenics presents the stirling cooled XCO-640: an infrared module, based on a cooled MWIR engine with an ultra-low 25 mK NETD detector and configured with a high-performance zoom lens.

            The zoom control over Serial Protocol together with advanced on-board image processing for increased contrast performance, makes the XCO-640 module the perfect fit for flexible and mobile observation platforms for law enforcement, homeland security and perimeter surveillance.

            Full flexibility is offered with a multiple digital interface functionality such as GigE Vision and CameraLink. Digital and analog out are available simultaneously. The fast trigger in/out allows for easy synchronisation with other control systems. The exposure time is fully adjustable. Furthermore the high speed frame rate can be further increased in windowing mode.

            This core will meet the requirements of the professional security market looking for specialty and customizable features.
          • Xlin-1.7-3000

          • High performance earth observation with high line rate and low noise

            The high resolution Xlin-1.7-3000 InGaAs detector is specifically designed for earth observation. The detector is based on mechanical butting of three InGaAs photodiode arrays with each 1024 pixels on a 25 μm pixel pitch, forming a nearly continuous line of 2900 pixels. The sensors come in an hermetically sealed package with an anti-refl ective coated window or in an open package (optional).

            Thanks to their high sensitivity and quantum efficiency they operate at very low illumination levels.

            The read-out integrated circuit includes Correlated Double Sampling (CDS) and autozero features, enabling low Dark Signal Non Uniformity (DSNU).

            A selectable integration time and capacitor allow for fi ne tuning the conversion gain in fl ight. You can choose from High Sensitivity (HS) mode and High Dynamic Range (HDR) mode. Furthermore the high maximum line rate of 10 kHz enables a high resolution in the time domain.

            The Xlin-1.7-3000 linear SWIR detector is used in ESA's Proba-V satellite.

                  • Xenics' product range holds several products needing a frame grabber card to connect the camera to a PC.

                    Euresys' GRABLINK full, Imperx's VCE-CLEX01 and National Instruments' PCIe-1433 frame grabbers are fully integrated in Xeneth and the Xeneth SDK. This means that you can use Xeneth software both to control the camera and to grab images making abstraction of the proprietary frame grabber software.

                    Other frame grabbers properly integrating the CameraLink and GigE Vision protocol can be used in Xeneth and the Xeneth SDK, however only for command and control of the camera. To grab images you rely on the dedicated software provided by the frame grabber vendors.

                  • Xenics develops flexible and modular cameras resulting in a wide variety of camera interfaces. All these interfaces require unique cabling which we keep in stock. Next to interface cables we also offer separate power supplies.
                  • Cases

                  • Xenics ships its infrared cameras all over the world in high-grade custom cases. As our infrared cameras have different sizes, we have several case-types in stock guaranteeing a tight fit. The cases are made of polypropylene which make them very sturdy. They are dustproof, watertight, stackable and can cope with temperatures between -40 °C and 80 °C. In addition they are equipped with an automatic air pressure compensation valve allowing us to ship the cameras all over the globe.

                    Most of our infrared cameras come with a standard hardshell case upon purchasing.

                        • New versatile interface designed with the user in mind

                          Xeneth 2.6 handles all Xenics infrared cameras independent of wavelength sensitivity, interface, resolution and pixel size. The default view of the GUI will only show the key control parameters next to the infrared camera footage. Upon changing the view from beginner, over expert to guru, extra features become visible and adjustable.

                          An entire set of processing and post-processing tools is available to extract all useful information and to optimize your infrared images. When using a thermally calibrated camera, the software is capable of doing a complete radiometric analysis (thermography) that takes object, environmental and optic characteristics into account.

                          Furthermore Xeneth 2.6 lets you export recorded infrared images to common image formats which can be viewed and analyzed in 3rd party software. Another new feature of Xeneth 2.6 is the extended calibration wizard which lets you easily optimize image correction calibration data when for instance a different lens is used.

                          Strong connection with the Software Development Kit

                          The link between GUI and SDK is stronger than ever in Xeneth 2.6. We provide tooltips with programming names for all Xenics’ camera features, giving developers complete access to all needed information to control the infrared camera. Moreover, the existing documentation is extended with detailed guidelines, extra samples and additional documentation on image filters.

                          Versatile Software Development Kit

                          The Xeneth 2.6 SDK provides a C, C++ and C# interface for all Xenics infrared cameras. The basic philosophy is similar to that of the GUI. On one hand it offers an extended set of basic application examples making it straightforward to build custom applications. On the other hand the SDK offers access to all documents and details required by demanding developers. Furthermore the interface is extended, but it stays backwards compatible with earlier versions.

                          The Xeneth 2.6 SDK is tested on all recent versions of Windows – starting from Windows XP up to Windows 10. For C and C++, binaries are built for Ubuntu and Fedora Linux distributions.

                          A Xeneth 2.6 LabVIEW SDK is also optionally available. After installing this package, examples and LabVIEW VI components are fully integrated in the LabVIEW development environment.
