The double trommel technology allows the screening of 3 fractions in just one operation. By using wire screens, which can be stretched around the inner and outer trommel, a sharp separation and a clean screening of the individual fractions, fine fraction, middle fraction and coarse fraction, is achieved.

CONSTRUCTION OF THE DOUBLE TROMMEL
The double trommel consists of a stable and robust inner trommel that screens out coarse material and keeps it back from the outer screen. The outer trommel is covered by wire screen linings and separates the fine fraction from the middle fraction. The middle fraction is screened between the inner and outer trommel. Both the inner and the outer trommel can be fitted with screen coverings. The double trommel design allows the inner trommel to screen 75/80 x 170 mm even without screen linings.
WIRE SCREENS: Various mesh sizes and shapes, such as square, harp or long meshes, ensure flexibility and individual adaptation to the respective screening requirements. Depending on the material properties, wire thicknesses from 2 to 6 mm can be used. The screen linings are light, compact and can be carried effortlessly to the place of use.
CHANGE OF SCREENS: In contrast to the frequently used perforated plate trommels, it is not necessary to replace the entire trommel when changing the screen. The screens can easily be changed within one hour using standard tools. Low purchase costs of about one tenth compared to the purchase of a complete trommel unit are also advantageous.
Fine fraction: Mesh width selectable 2 - 80 mm
Middle fraction: Mesh width selectable 2 - 80 mm or standard 75/80 x 170 mm
Coarse fraction: Depending on the mesh size of the middle fraction or larger than 170 mm as standard
2 – 80 mm
2 – 80 mm or
Standard 75/80 x 170 mm
depending on the middle fraction or as standard > 170 mm
In the MS1000, ZEMMLER refrains from using a double trommel and supplies the machine exclusively with a single drum. However, the proven system of the exchangeable wire screen lining remains the same, so that two clean fractions are produced in one operation.
The ZEMMLER® MULTI SCREEN® is primarily designed for gardening and landscaping companies. Due to its compact dimensions and low weight, this double trommel screening machine can be towed by vans and small trucks.
With the help of an optional slip-on ring, the machine can be converted into a three-fraction screening machine within a few minutes and can thus also screen (like the large ones) three fractions in one operation.
The electrical operating mode ensures low energy consumption.
The ZEMMLER® MULTI SCREEN® MS 3200 was developed to meet the increasing demand for compact machines for small businesses and municipalities, as well as for gardening and landscaping. Basis for this screening machine is the MS 1600. Both screening machines are very similar in construction. The big difference lies in the length of the screening trommel. The loading height of just under 2500 mm was also largely adopted in order to also guarantee loading with the excavators and wheel loaders usually used in gardening & landscaping. With the help of an optional slip-on ring, the MS 3200 can be converted from a two-fraction to a three-fraction screening machine in just a few minutes.
The ZEMMLER® MULTI SCREEN® MS 4200 has been designed for use on medium and large sized plants for a wide range of applications.
The mobile, hydraulically driven double trommel screening machine impresses with high flexibility in use, options, economy and performance.
Maintenance and repair work can quickly and easily be carried out thanks to the good accessibility of the engine unit and the large side-doors.
The ZEMMLER® MULTI SCREEN® MS 5200 represents a convincing solution for all large plants with a high throughput and screening quality in different areas of application with its more than 5 meter long double trommel and a total screening surface of 47 m². The length of the double trommel and the wire screen coverings allow clean separation even with small meshes and cohesive material.
The double trommel and belts operate in perfect unison thanks to the proven diesel-hydraulic drive concept, which is controlled using a simple control panel. The energy-saving ecoMode reduces the machine’s fuel consumption and lengthens the machine’s autarkic working time. As an option, extended conveyors can be mounted to provide more flexibility for material removal.
The ZEMMLER® MULTI SCREEN® MS 6700 is the largest mobile screening machine in our product portfolio. It combines size and double trommel technology, opening up new dimensions in processing. With a total screening surface of more than 60 m² and a trommel length of 6.70 m, it offers a maximum performance of up to 180 m³/h. Above all, users with very large throughputs and small mesh sizes obtain optimum screening results
The ZEMMLER® MULTI SCREEN® MS 1600 Starter is the smallest trommel screening machine in this category and was developed especially for small users such as landscapers, construction companies or municipalities. The semi-mobile MS 1600 Starter is an alternative to the mobile MS 1600. The trommel is identically constructed. The low weight and compact design make it easy to transport and use on various construction sites. The MS 1600 Starter is designed to fit trailers up to 2.5 t.
With the aid of an optional slip-on ring, the machine can be converted from a two-fraction to a three-fraction screening machine within a few minutes.
The ZEMMLER® MULTI SCREEN® MS 3200-ST is particularly suitable for applications in landscaping and soil preparation due to its compact dimensions in combination with its efficiency. As with the other MULTI SCREEN screening machines, the proven double trommel technology is used for this type. By attaching an optional slip-on ring, screening in three fractions is possible.
Eventually, separation is performed by using wire screen coverings which are stretched around the inner and outer trommel which can easily be replaced at any time according to the screening requirements. The wire screens enable a sharp separation and clean sorting of the individual fractions.
The possibilities with a stationary ZEMMLER® MULTI SCREEN® MS 4200 ST are versatile and solution-oriented. We design your plant according to the local conditions. Therefore we offer you different solutions for feeding the double trommel, conveying the final products as well as the substructure.
In addition, we are able to manufacture an entire screening line for you with our plant engineering solutions. With a double trommel length of 4.20 m, the MS 4200 ST is ideal for use on medium-sized and large plants that process soil, rock, recycling, wood chips, etc.
The ZEMMLER® MULTI SCREEN® MS 5200 ST can be easily integrated into almost any screening line due to its compact dimensions. Like all stationary screening plants, this model can also be variably adapted to the application and location. A powerful electric engine drives the double trommel with a screening area of 47 m2. Covered with wire screens, the double trommel allows the screening of fine light to heavy stony cohesive materials. The wire screen can quickly and easily be replaced according to the requirements by means of the large side doors.
