Easy and reliable imaging spectrometer for UAV
The Cubert S 185 is the lightest version of our revolutionary full frame imaging technology. Thus it combines the precision of hyperspectral cameras with the ease of use of a snapshot camera. In combination, this camera provides the smartest access to hyperspectral areal images you could ever imagine. With no need of an IMU you will get full hyperspectral cubes in 1/1000 of a second! Furthermore the preprocessed cubes are
transferred to the ground station during flight and you can start to analyze your areal hyperspectral images already on site!
The difference to push broom technology
The S 185 uses a unique technology which establishes a fair balance between areal resolution and spectral resolution. The result is an imaging spectrometer with no need for scanning (like push broom technology) or image combination after fast filter shifts. Our technology provides clean hyperspectral images out of the box without any moving artifacts. During the development of the Firefly we miniaturized our laboratory platform. The weight was reduced from 3 kg to a total weight of 490 g (including camera). This was achieved by the use of lightweight and yet stable materials like aluminum and Kevlar. Due to the abstinence of any moving part, the package provides a light but longtime stable product. In combination with an industry grade processing unit for the on air data storage and the ground communication, we achieve a ready to fly weight of as low as 840 g.

Advanced optical design
The S 485 is based on our new optics design. The device was developed with high fidelity in mind. Thus it features a higher spectral resolution of 4900 spectra per cube. As special feature we implemented an interchangeable prism giving you the freedom to choose from different wavelength range options.
Worldwide first underwater Hyperspectrometer
The S 685 is our first solution for full frame imaging underwater spectroscopy. The device features minimum of 5 meter water resistance for a dive duration of 1 hour.
The S 685 is based on our industrial grade Q 285. The S 685 is the first of its kind full frame, non-scanning, imaging spectrometer
solely designed for underwater use. Our technology combines the simplicity of a point-and-shoot camera with the precision of hyperspectral imaging.
Full frame hyperspectral imaging:
The goal of our development was an easy to handle imaging spectrometer with no need for scanning (like push broom technology) or image combination after fast filter shifts. Instead of the slit of a push broom scanning device we use a spatial grid which images two dimensional data points trough the spectral apparatus onto the CCD. Recalculation of the interwoven spatial and spectral information gives us direct access to the hyperspectral cube with every frame captured. This process takes as little as 1/1000 of a second. Thus there are no moving artifacts, no hassle with translation stages and no restrictions in speed. All that technology was packed into a waterproof, dustproof and shock-resistant housing which guarantees long term stability and lets you use the system where you need it. With this technology you get unique advantages above all available systems on the market, which enables absolutely new and outstanding applications.

The S 199 is a complete solution for high resolved hyperspectral mapping from UAVs. It offers the unique combination of very high spatial and high spectral resolution, thus enabling a whole new range of applications. Those exceptional features are realized by capturing linear filtered frames at very high frame rates with an image overlap of 99% during flight. After flight, the software solution provided by VITO is generating a hyperspectral ground map. To handle the data processing, a cloud based service is
provided, offering optimal scalability. The processing does not stop at the provision of spectral datamaps. True to our moto – Acquire, Process, Interprete, Act – we are supporting you with processing solutions tailored for your applications. For further information, please talk to our application engineers.
Stronger through Cooperation
The S 199 is build in cooperation with VITO Remote Sensing. VITO is a leading innovator in remote sensing imaging solutions for different applications and it has developed a unique software solution for spectral mapping.
Mosaic spectral Imagers
The Butterfleye cameras uses a unique filter on chip technology which opens up a sweet spot between multi-chip multispectral cameras and full-blown hyperspectral cameras. With a medium spectral resolution of 16 to 25 channels the device enables a spatial resolution higher than QVGA. Everything is combined in a smart camera module which enables not only the data storage directly on the device, but also application related post processing on the camera itself. The device features computerless operation with a action-cam-like operation scheme making it easy to set up and use it in the field. With our spectral imaging software we bring you a versatile tool for data acquisition and processing, and offer full access to remote operation.

Six spectral channels, one optical path
The S 219 is a highly integrated spectral imager, capable of measuring four to six different spectral colors with a 4 Megapixel resolution. This device is easy to use and adaptable to your application. The optical and electrical design helps you focus on your mission. All colors are captured exactly on the same time and from exactly the same viewing angle. A global shutter prevents further moving artifacts. This is what we consider a snapshot imager. There is no need for preprocessing. The camera has an integrated processing board and all data is saved on one SD-card. We are happy to talk with you about filter settings for your specific application.
Reliable and easy
This camera was designed to make your application more reliable and easy. With a nearly free choice of optical filters we are able to deliver you exactly what it takes to bring spectral imaging into the field. The goal of our development was an easy to handle affordable spectral imager. We wanted to tackle the obstacles of existing multichannel imagers.
Therefore we developed an optical design which combines 4 sensors through one optical path. In combination with an intelligent camera design and our spectral imaging software we give you the easiest to use multispectral imager available. We are happy to discuss your applications.
First of its kind, snapshot spectral imager
The ButterflEYE X2 is based on our successful range of ButterflEYE cameras. In this small setup, two filter on chip sensors are optically overlaid to give you the full VIS-NIR wavelength range. This device combines 41 spectral bands in the range of 450 to 950nm. With our sophisticated data fusion technology, you do not have to care about post process the data. You have access to full spectral cubes with the size of 2000 x 1000 x 41 channels with each readout of the sensors. The intelligent camera platform will take care about the data acquisition, the data fusion, the storage and the processing without the need of an external computer. All that is combined with our industry leading spectral imaging software for data capturing and analysis.

What you should know
Due to the nature of the mosaic filter on chip technology is not possible to produce a full VIS-NIR spectra on one single chip. Due to the need of accurate cut off filters, the sensors are typically covering the visible from 470-600nm or the near infrared from 600-1000nm. If you are in the need of the full VIS-NIR spectra, the ButterflEYE X2 is the solution. It combines two filter on chip mosaic sensors imaging through one single lens. The device features computerless, action-cam-like operation. With our plugin architecture it is possible to define your own spectral applications, load them to the camera and enjoy the online output of the results with our brand new tablet application. Spectral imaging can not get more simple than that.
