    WATERKOTTE heat pump system solutions produce warm water and cool the house in the summer without the unfavorable consumption of conventional air conditioning systems.

      Heat pump series Ai1 QE

      The series Ai1 QE has been newly developed by WATERKOTTE in 2012. For private residential construction of houses with a fl oor space of up to 400 m2, it provides a complete heating centre on the smallest possible space. The unit's footprint, including the 250 l hot water tank, is about 0.5 m2, neutral design, ultra-quiet, almost inaudible. The Ai1 QE series heats and cools via the floor heating system, handles hot water production and can also heat the pool in the summer.

  • Storage Tank

      • Alongside heating and cooling, all WATERKOTTE heating systems also provide you with especially convenient hot-water heating. In this way an attractive all-round package for you and your family’s needs presents itself. With WATERKOTTE heat pump heaters of the DS series, which use the flow-through heating principle, hot-water tanks with a capacity of 300-400 litres are preferable. Where greater quantities are needed, single-tank storage volumes of up to 1000 litres are easily available. However, this is usually only necessary in homes housing several families or similar such circumstances.

        Good reasons for going with WATERKOTTE: Hygiene
        The hot water is stored in a hot-water tank, so you have ample hot water at all times. With hot-water heating, the renewable energy is also used in an optimal way.With WATERKOTTE hot-water heating you avoid these disadvantages. Since no great quantities of hot water are stored away, there are no breeding grounds for germs and pathogens. WATERKOTTE uses an efficient plate heat exchange device as a base through which water from a tank between 300 and 900 litres flows. This solution keeps potable water separate from the thermal source and thus prevents germs in the boiler from being introduced into the system.

        Good reasons for going with WATERKOTTE: Hot water of the same quality as cold tap water
        WATERKOTTE hot water heating offers an abundant supply and the highest water quality at the same time, i.e. it offers hot water of the same quality as running tap water. The same applies at lower water temperatures that might be desired for the safety of little children, for example. To achieve this, the desired heat pool is stored on the heating side (i.e. on the primary side) in a 400 litre upright tank (at 55 °C). Whenever water is drawn from the tap, the heating occurs in a specially designed, high-performance, multiple-conduit heat exchange device at the same time the tap is turned. In this way heating water from, for example, 10 to 50 °C takes place in fractions of a second. It is know that very sudden heating has a positive effect on the hygienic condition of tap water, even improving it, should this at some point be necessary.

      Correct application of these sets ensures electrically insulated installation of heat exchanger in the storage tank. To prevent corrosion damage due to mixed installation of various materials in the connection lines, an electrical isolation between the materials (electrochemical series) must be provided.
      Use therefore insulated screw connections (state-of-the-art) when connecting heat exchanger on site.

    With a WATERKOTTE photovoltaic system it is easy to generate electricity from freely available solar energy.

    Full feed-in or own consumption
    You can either feed the entire produced energy into the grid or you can consume part of the generated energy on site, thus reducing the amount of energy supplied by the energy provider. For each kilowatt hour used for own consumption, the system operator receives a bonus which - together with the fee for the kilowatt hour saved - results in an even greater overall advantage (This is the legal situation in Germany.
