aerodyn Energiesysteme GmbH in Rendsburg was founded in 1983 by Dipl.-Ing. Sönke Siegfriedsen and since then has devoted its activities wholly to the development of complete wind turbines and all of their components. To date, aerodyn has made substantial contributions to the development of numerous types of wind turbines of many different manufacturers and conducted a wide range of successful overall developments.
As early as 1984, aerodyn pioneered this technology with its first overall development of a 25 kW wind turbine and its testing on the then test field on the North Sea island of Pellworm. This first project gave proof of its profound insight into aerodynamic behaviour, mechanical loads and control technology. To date, aerodyn has produced many innovative concepts and developments which have influenced the state-of-the-art. Today, wind turbines developed by aerodyn can be found on all five continents and they are a reliable, eco-friendly source of energy production.
