Product Portfolio
Flange immersion HEATERS | FHK series
- Flange heaters from Herbst Beheizungs-Technik are
particularly suited for heating up fluids and gases.
Electric flange heaters are manufactured with highly compacted tubular
heaters (Ø 8.5 / 11.5 / 12 / 16) which are bent into a U-shape and welded or
hard-soldered into flange plates DN 50 up to DN 600.
The flanged heating elements enable high heating performance within the
smallest space. Construction
- Flange immersion heaters are manufactured with highly
compacted tubular heaters [1] (Ø 8.5 / 11.5 / 12 / 16 mm) which are bent
into U-shape and welded or hard-soldered into flange plates [2] from DN 50
up to DN 600.
The stable positioning of the heating elements is secured by means of
laser-cut spacer discs [3] which are also used as baffles. This construction
element provides an adequate flow-direction of the operating fluids and
gases and prevents undesired accumulation of heat.
The connection housing [4] is mounted directly on the flange plate. If a
cooling section [5] is required the enclosure can be installed with
sufficient distance to the heating zone.
Processing
- Flange heaters are proven every day in various process
installations. Electric heating elements combine properties such as
efficient heating, long service life and low maintenance costs.
When dimensioning heating elements, particular attention is paid to finding
the best compromise between technical feasability, quality and economical
aspects.
Flange heaters have to suit customers' application - in size, shape ,
performance, chemical and thermal resistance, controls and protective
systems. To ensure this, it requires expert knowledge.
Cartridge heater
- Heating flange with cartridge heaters
Flange plates equipped with heating cartridges are particularly suitable for
use in large tanks. The welded-in steel tubes contain exchangeable ceramic
heating elements which can be replaced individually without draining the
fluid.
The steel tubes have selectable diameters of Ø 36 mm, Ø 42 mm and Ø 52 mm.
The TIG welding process is mainly used to connect them with the flange. The
flange heaters should be mounted horizontally.
Similar to standard flange heaters the electrical connection is contained in
a housing directly on the flange plate. Control cabinet with protection
system IP54 and IP65, integrated thermostat and temperature limiter are
available as options.
Circulation heaters
- Circulation heaters - Industrial process heat
Circulation heaters are very suitable for an efficient heating of fluids
and gases. The petrochemistry, shipbuilding, medical technology, industrial
cleaning technology, plant construction and process engineering are typical
areas of use.
Circulation heaters are manufactured according to customer specification
and/or explicitly customized to the personal requirements of the purchaser:-
position and construction of inlet port and outlet port
- drain plug and vent pipe
- fastening attachments for vertical or horizontal assembly
- thermal insulation
- special gaskets for different operating conditions

heaters manufactured by Herbst Beheizungs-Technik are particularly
constructed for the direct warming of industrial fluids e.g. thin
oils such as heating oil and hydraulic fluid.
Under low ambient temperature conditions tank heaters protect against any
frost damage to the liquid medium and the tank itself. Thus, for example,
makes it easy to prevent the paraffin precipitation in heating oil tanks.

Gas pre-heaters | PRE Serie
- Gas pre-heater for indirect heating of gases
Gas pre-heaters made by Herbst Beheizungs-Technik consist of an electric
heating element and a tube coil which are both cast in an aluminium block.
Industrial and process gases or even fluids are directed through the tube
coil which is heated up by the aluminium block, thus, ensures an extremely
constant and precise heat transmission.
In its standard design the gas pre-heater is equipped with:-
Tube coil:
- Electric heating element:
- stainless steel
- 1500 W (other capacities on request)
- Temperature controller and temperature limiter
- Connections:
- inlet and outlet connections: ½" nipples
- can be individually adapted to customer’s requirements
- Outlet temperature up to 400 °C
- For applications in a non hazardous area
Air HEATERS | LEH series
- Design with finned tubular heaters
In order to obtain optimum heat transfer and heat distribution the
tubular heaters can be supplied with finns. The finned heating elements
enable higher power outputs in often smaller installation spaces.
Design with tubular heaters
Air and duct heaters are typically used to heat process gases and air in
industrial applications up to a temperature of 800 °C.
Air heaters are designed to obtain optimum heat transfer as well as good
heat distribution.
Depending on the particular process parameters the electric air heaters can
be designed and built with single or double U-shaped heating elements or in
customer-specific shapes.
When dimensioning the air heaters particular attention is paid to select the
permissible watt density and the maximum temperature of the tubular heating
elements.
While avoiding overheating and subsequent damages the air and duct heaters
are permanently and reliable ready for use.
The connection housing can be mounted with a suitable cooling zone and if
required with further protection by thermal insulating material.
Herbst Beheizungs-Technik provides their air duct heaters ready to connect
and the terminal housing can be supplied with protection class IP54 and
IP65. Finned HEATERS | RRH series
