    With its universal machines, GROB has introduced a series of universal machining centers which proves the technological know-how and developing competence of the GROB engineers in this market segment, which is relatively new to the company.

          Turning technology has been integrated by GROB into the existing standalone machining centers as a continuous development of the milling technology. The milling-turning is capability is achieved by a rotary table than can rotate.

              GROB’s automation solutions for large-scale manufacturing have enjoyed an excellent reputation for decades in both the system and universal machine business. GROB is dedicated to providing customized solutions that combine, for example, several universal machining centers and intelligent, highly dynamic linking and automation components in order to create a sophisticated, flexible production system. Such systems are perfectly suited to processing complex components rapidly and at minimum cost in relatively small to ultra-small batches.

              • G-modules are modular machining centers. They are available in three different sizes and as single-spindle or two-spindle machines.                   In the field of assembly technology, GROB has years of expertise in the design of assembly lines. All assembly stations or assembly lines are special constructions individually planned, built and designed in accordance with customer specific requirements. Typical assembly component groups are engines and cylinder heads as well as automatic and manual transmissions for cars and trucks in medium and large quantities.

                    • From a partially automated to a fully automated system, GROB assembly lines are custom-build to meet individual customer needs. GROB lines are guaranteed to accomplish demanding assembly tasks.

                      Backed by years of experience, the GROB concept has proved its worth, especially in the planning and manufacturing of highly complex assembly lines. GROB has engineered assembly lines for cylinder heads, basic engines, and both automatic and manual transmissions.

                    • On the basis of a successful assembly concept, GROB manufactures standardized assembly stations, which can be linked by a modular principle to form complete systems with appropriate cycle times. Depending on application and ultimate objective, the choice between fully automated, partially automated and manual stations offers the optimum solution for sophisticated production. Working closely with its customers, GROB develops assembly solutions to suit their needs. GROB combines modular stations to create an individual and highly flexible assembly line.

                      • To improve the overall performance of combustion engines, the automotive industry is working on new technologies for reducing the weight of engines and increasing their performance. Weight can effectively be reduced by using aluminum cylinder crankcases with thermally-sprayed cylinder bearing surfaces.

                        "GROB-NET4Industry" uses web technology to create cross-plant transparency throughout the production process. The modules within GROB-NET4Industry specially developed by GROB network and digitalize production processes, thereby facilitating paperless communication for even greater productivity.

                    • Highly modern Technology and Application Center (TAC)

                      The Technology and Application Center in Mindelheim is part of the sales department for the GROB standalone machining centers. Equipped with most versions of the GROB standalone machine series, sample test machining of workpieces from all areas of the machining industry can be performed in response to the most demanding inquiries. GROB technicians test feasibility, create time studies, program and simulate any workpiece machining.
