In 1941 Gerhard Berger founds Berger LahrProducts: measuring instruments, later on controllers and relays.In 1954we have the First activities in the area of driving systems with completely new, reversible synchronous motors.In 1958 First Berger Lahr stepping motor.In 1972 Development of 5-phase stepping motor; patented.In 1976 Division for development and production of electronics components.In 1988 SIG Schweizerische Industrie-Gesellschaft takes over Berger Lahr and sets up the Drives and Automation division.In 1989 New product line: linear axes and linear robots. In 1993 Development and market launch of the 3-phase stepping motor.
In 1999 we had the presentation and introduction of the new product families Twin Line and IcIA.
