  • LONG TRADITIONS IN COMBINE HARVESTER MANUFACTURING
    The roots of the Sampo combine harvester are in the 1920s when the first stationary threshing machines were manufactured. The next significant milestone in the history of Finnish combine harvester production is 1957 when manufacturing of self-propelled combine harvesters was started. Today, nearly 100 years later, Sampo combine harvester production continues in Pori.
    The Comia and the 3000 range represent combine harvesters designed to meet the modern standards. The Sampo is developed to cope not only with the challenging northern conditions, but also to withstand the hot conditions in the south. More than 80% of the production is exported, and Sampo Rosenlew combine harvesters are used to harvest wheat as well as rice in different conditions all around the world.

        We have the widest and most quiet cab in its size class on the market. The air suspended seat that comes as standard and the large open space. There are many things that make a long day of threshing a delightful experience.

        By getting to know our new cab, you will find many things that make your threshing a success. After a long day of threshing, you will be able to better cope with the other chores of the farm because the best part of harvesting has been spent in a nice environment.

        ONE-HAND CONTROL
        Best threshing results are achieved when the combine harvester is easy to use. The control console integrated in the seat acts as the nerve centre of the Avara cab. ComVision II, a large 12.3 inch touchscreen, a control console, and a drive handle exclusively designed for the Comia-range.

        GOOD ERGONOMICS GUARANTEE BETTER RESULTS
        Good working posture is vital for good health. It was this sentence that prompted us to design the armrest, console, and drive handle in collaboration with ergonomics specialists. Using one hand, you can control the entire threshing process from lifting the cutting table to the adjustment of the threshing machinery. Through the ComVision II touchscreen, you can monitor and adjust your harvester so that it can reach the best results.

        SAFETY FIRST
        Good visibility to the cutting table through the wide windscreen makes your threshing easier. To maintain visibility, the cab also has eight work lights for when it gets dark. Because threshing is dusty work, the cleaning of Comia’s windscreen is made easier through safe grip handles and wide work platforms. While driving on the road from farm to field, the daytime LEDs are always on. Both seats of the cab are equipped with seat belts. These features guarantee safety on the road.

        NEW LEVEL OF UNLOADING SPEEDS

        Threshing is always done in a hurry, it seems. Correctly timed and efficient threshing guarantees the high quality of harvested grain. A shorter unloading time means there is more time for threshing. All of this means better financial results for you.

        EASY ATTACHMENT OF CUTTING TABLE
        As cutting widths increase, the transportation of the cutting table on a trailer has become standard. Usually the driver works alone with the harvester. This makes the easy and quick attachment of the table important. Attachment is made easy by a conical guide and a hydraulic fast coupling.

        Verrato’s roots go deep in the dna of Sampo combine. The range has been sold throughout the world to thresh the most exotic species of plants. The feedback received from round the world has helped us develop our combines more versatile and reliable than ever. A host of appreciated properties are combined in this combine harvester – a wide cutting table and threshing unit, a good selection of different engines and a large grain tank.

        The superb technology of the Verrato is based on a wide threshing unit, the heavy-duty bolt cylinder with 8 rasp bars and four straw walkers. The combine has a large 3,700-litre grain tank to enable long unloading intervals to increase valuable threshing time. The source of power is a
        150 hp 4 cylinder Tier4f or 185 hp 6 cylinder Tier3a Agco Power engine. Tier 3 a engine cannot be sold in EU or EPA emission territories. The transmission is hydrostatic driven.

        CUTTING HEADER
        There are several table widths ranging from 3.1 to 4.5 metres. The table width can be chosen depending on threshing speed or field sizes. Dealers can be consulted about the right width to suit your particular needs.
        A table auger with a large diameter feeds the grain efficiently into the combine. The work is facilitated by robust feed fingers throughout the whole width of the table on tables 3.9 metres wide and wider. Reel height is adjusted hydraulically, and reel speed and fore/aft, electrically.

        CYLINDER AND CONCAVE
        The Verrato model feature a cylinder with a diameter of 500 mm; a heavy-duty cylinder with eight rasp bars. The heavy-duty cylinder, originally designed to be used in maize fields, comes as standard on all models. The cylinder houses eight rasp bars bolted on cast-iron center plates. The cylinder is considerably heavy design, which means that load peaks are hardly noticeable.

        A thin wired concave guarantees clean threshing in the most demanding conditions.

        SEPARATION
        The grain pan is equipped with four removable sections. They can be pulled out for cleaning with a special tool which comes with the combine. Verrato model have four straw walkers with four steps. The straw walkers are with removable bottoms, for easy cleaning.

        The Verrato come with an adjustable upper sieve. The sieve extension can be chosen to suit the conditions. A standard extension is supplied with every model. The alternatives to choose from include a slope extension and a rape extension. The bottom sieve is of a round-hole-type.

        GRAIN TANK
        The combine can be equipped with different grain tank options to suit your needs. The height of the cover determines the tank capacity. The smallest tank capacity is 3,700, and the largest 4,200 litres.

        The bottom of the grain tank is of a W shape type on every model. This design with the filling auger located in the centre has proved extremely efficient in an even distribution of the grain in the tank. The unloading pipe is sufficiently long. The unloading height is standard 3.4 meters or you can choose as an option 4 m high.

        CAB
        Special attention has been paid to driver comfort in the design of the cab of the Sampo Rosenlew combines. Driving ergonomics and visibility are extremely good. The driver´s seat has an optimum location to guarantee good visibility ahead as well as over the knife, the table auger and the table corners through the large windows. Each cab features a heater as standard. Verrato is equipped with a SR –standard cab. With hydrostatic transmission model, you control the combine with a multi-purpose lever. The lever includes the header adjustments, lifting the header and reel up and down.

        ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

        Verrato is equipped with efficient Agco Power engine.The power rate is from a 4 cylinder 150 hp, Tier4f. Efficient suction located on the intake air mesh ensures that the large cooling cells are continuously supplied with fresh air. A rotating suction air screen is standard. The combine is equipped with hydrostatic transmission. When the combine is equipped with hydrostatic transmission a 4-wd can be fitted as well. Different tire options are available also, depending of your harvesting conditions.
      • 2045 - ALLROUNDER

      • The 2045 has served farmers ́ needs indefatigably for more than a two decades. The range has been sold throughout the world to thresh the most exotic species of plants. The feedback received from round the world has helped us develop our combines more versatile and reliable than ever. A host of appreciated properties are combined in this combine harvester – a wide cutting table and threshing unit, a good selection of different engines and a large grain tank.
        The superb technology of the SR2045 is based on a wide threshing unit, the heavy-duty bolt cylinder with 8 rasp bars and four straw walkers. The combine has a large 3,300-litre grain tank to enable long unloading intervals to increase valuable threshing time. The source of power is either a 122-hp 4 cylinder or 150-hp, 6 cylinder engine. The transmission is mechanical or hydrostatic driven.

        CUTTING HEADER
        There are several table widths ranging from 3.1 to 5.1 metres. The table width can be chosen depending on threshing speed or field sizes. Dealers can be consulted about the right width to suit your particular needs.

        A table auger with a large diameter feeds the grain efficiently into the combine. The work is facilitated by robust feed fingers throughout the whole width of the table on tables 3.9 metres wide and wider. Reel height is adjusted hydraulically, and reel speed electrically. The fore/aft adjustments is mechanically.


        SPECIAL CROPS
        For harvesting special crops you need a different header fitting.
        For corn a 4 row corn header can be fitted to the 2045 if needed. Also
        sunflower attachment are available or a sunflower header.

        GRAIN TANK
        The combine can be equipped with different grain tank options to suit your needs. The height of the cover determines the tank capacity. Grain tank capacities are from 3,300 to 4,200 liters.

        The bottom of the grain tank is of a W shape type on every model. This design with the filling auger located in the centre has proved extremely efficient in an even distribution of the grain in the tank.

        The unloading pipe is sufficiently long. The unloading height is standard 3.3 meters or you can choose as an option 3.4 m or even 4 m high.

        WITHOUT A GRAIN TANK
        The SR2045 can be fitted even without a grain tank. The grain tank is replaced with a platform and with bagging equipment. A handy slide on the left hand side of the combine, slides down your bags of grain.

        CYLINDER AND CONCAVE
        The 2045 model feature a cylinder with a diameter of 500 mm; a heavy-duty cylinder with eight rasp bars. The heavy-duty cylinder, originallydesigned to be used in maize fields, comes as standard on all models. The cylinder houses eight rasp bars bolted on cast-iron center plates. The cylinder is considerably heavy design, which means that load peaks are hardly noticeable.

        A thin wired concave guarantees clean threshing in the most demanding conditions. The through holes of the piano wires are significantly larger in diameter than the wires, which mean that the wires can vibrate slightly all the time thus improving the concave capacity. When harvesting other crops such as maize or sunflower, a universal concave with robust wires is available.

        SEPARATION
        The grain pan is equipped with four removable sections. They can be pulled out for cleaning with a special tool which comes with the combine. SR2045 models have four straw walkers with four steps and closed bottoms. As option you can choose straw walkers with removable bottoms, for easy cleaning.

        The 2045 come with an adjustable upper sieve. The sieve extension can be chosen to suit the conditions. A standard extension is supplied with every model. The alternatives to choose from include a slope extension and a rape extension. The bottom sieve is of a round-hole-type. When placing an order for a combine, an adjustable type of bottom sieve may also be chosen.

        CAB

On hydrostatic transmission models, you control the combine with a multi-purpose lever. The lever includes the header adjustments, lifting the header and reel up and down. The SR2045 can be also equipped with a operators platform. The platform is equipped with a handy sun-canopy

        ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
        SR2045 can be equipped with different engines. Depending on your countries emission controls the combine can be equipped with Tier0 or Tier3 engines. The power rate is from 4 cylinder 122 hp up to a 6 cylinder 185 hp.
        Efficient suction located on the intake air mesh ensures that the large cooling cells are continuously supplied with fresh air. A rotating suction air screen is standard. A belt driven blowing impeller located
        outside the cooler supplies enough cooling air.
        The combine can be equipped with mechanical or hydrostatic transmission. If the combine is equipped with hydrostatic transmission a 4-wd can be fitted as well. Different tire options are available also,
        depending of your harvesting conditions.
    • FOREST MACHINES

    • Sampo-Rosenlew began the serial production of harvesters already in 1997. The SR1046 harvester, designed specifically for first thinning, was the first machine to come out at that time. The more efficient and powerful 1046X model was introduced to the market already the following year in 1998. The 1046X was used for ten years, until the efficiency and power was yet again increased through a new engine design. The 1046pro, introduced in 2008, increased the productivity of the harvester approximately ten per cent. In 2013, the Sampo-Rosenlew harvester went through a complete transformation. The HR46 model introduced at that time differed significantly from its predecessors both in appearance and technology. Use of shared components with the combine harvesters was discontinued and BlackBruin hydraulic motors, produced by the Group itself, were adopted exclusively into use. With the increase of power and the pump, the productivity of the machine was increased again by 10%. The HR46X, launched into production in 2016 and equipped with a more powerful engine and pump, further increased the harvester's productivity without increasing fuel consumption. The weight and exterior dimensions of the small and agile Sampo Rosenlew harvester designed for thinning have remained the same since 1998, even though the productivity of the machine has increased by nearly 50% during the same time-frame.

      In 2015, the FR28 forwarder was added to the Sampo Rosenlew product family. The Sampo Rosenlew FR28 is designed to operate as an powerful work mate for the Sampo Rosenlew harvester when thinning. The serial production of Sampo Rosenlew FR28 forwarders was started in 2016.

      Sampo-Rosenlew harvesters have been designed in-house from the start. The leading principle has been to offer customers high-quality products specifically designed for their needs and with features and a cost structure that allows profitable harvesting when thinning. Over 500 Sampo Rosenlew harvesters have already been produced.
        • HR46X

        • HR46X is the number one choice for first thinning. Even more powerful than its predecessor, the HR46, the HR46X is now equipped with a larger 140cc pump and more powerful Acgo Power 49 AWF engine. These changes improve efficiency while reducing fuel consumption, which directly results as increased profitability for the business owner.

          In order to move from tree to tree as fast as possible without increasing RPM, the power transfer is fully hydrostatic. The gear change of variable speed engine is done digitally and even automatically, if desired. An operating mode can also be selected from the operation automation menu, which increases the diesel engine RPM to maximum, which automatically allows maximum transfer speed.

          The cabs of Sampo-Rosenlew harvesters have always been placed on a separate frame from the engine, so the comfortable and quiet work environment is the same familiar operator experience operators have become accustomed to. When you add on the aforementioned changes, a decrease in RPM, and the removal of the gear shifter from the cab, in addition to numerous other changes to this model, the cab of the HR46 is astonishingly quiet.

          CHASSIS
          A thinning harvester operates in young sections of forest. They are kept relatively dense in order to maximize the growth rate. High-quality thinning requires that the harvester is rather small and can be maneuvered in small space. Furthermore, the machine weight must be relatively low. The HR46x meets these requirements. Further modifications have been made resulting in a light but strong chassis. The narrow harvester has a middle joint with a 50-degree turning angle resulting in unique maneuverability. The outer turning radius is 402 cm. Tyre width can be chosen between 500 and 650 mm.

          DRIVE TRANSMISSION
          The HR46x harvester is equipped with full hydrostatic drive transmission. In this system there are no vulnerable axles and there is no train of gears. Changing from one gear to the next in the multi-speed radial piston motors is done electrically. The torque in the Sampo Hydraulics drive motors is high as soon as the machine starts to move. Since the wheels are constantly rolling without scratching, no marks are left on the terrain in the forest to be thinned. The turning of the harvester is also harmless to the ground because there is no bogie axle.

          CAB
          The Sampo Rosenlew factory also manufactures the spacious, silent cab which helps the operator to work efficiently. From the HR46x cab it is easy to see the tree tops, which is a requirement for the correct choosing of trees to be harvested. The cab meets the official safety standards and is specially designed to be used in a dense thinning forest when the remaining trees must be left unharmed. The cab features many details that make it easier for the operator to work and feel more comfortable.

          CRANE
          The HR46x harvester has a7.1 meter parallel crane with sufficient 55 kNm lifting capacity to ensure swift working. The crane is also very flexible to use even in a dense forest. The side tilt, which can also be switched on to work automatically, helps to pick the very trees that the operator wants to remove. Furthermore, it helps when operating on a slope or on rough terrain. The low construction of the crane improves the sideways stability and visibility towards the trees to be felled. The vertical fastening plate serves the same purpose, bringing the crane foot as close to the operator as possible.


          HARVESTING HEAD
          We only use harvesting heads from well-known manufacturers. The main brands are Kesla and Keto. For thinning, the harvesting head should be small and designed so that it is easy to move to the tree to be harvested in the dense forest without harming the remaining trees. The harvesting head and accessories are selected based on the intended use. For example, there are specific equipment or applications for the standard harvesting head designed for producing energy timber.

          ENGINE
          Sampo-Rosenlew uses engines manufactured by Agco Power with several decades of experience in Linnavuori, Nokia. The power plant of the HR46x is the TIER 4 final phase common rail and SCR technology-equipped Power 49 AWF diesel engine. The low fuel consumption of the low-emission engine, coupled with extended service intervals, allow to keep operating costs at minimum. It has 124kW of power and the torque is highest exactly in the RPM range that is used the most in operation. The engines are silent and have been made to last.


          MEASURING COMPUTER
          Measuring of the wood volume as well as controlling of the harvesting head is done by the measuring computer.Since there is a variety of customer needs, the Motomit computer that we use can be equipped with software of different levels. If there is need for functions requiring PC level power, the personal computer is coupled side by side with the measuring computer.This way a possible malfunction in the PC does not prevent the use of the harvester. With a Motomit computer the customer has access to all the necessary functions such as:
          Optimizing of crosscutting.
          Harvester head steering, control and trouble shooting.
          Working hour follow-up.
          Wireless transmission of production information.
        • FR28

        • Sampo Rosenlew has responded to customer demands by designing the FR28 forwarder, which is optimized for thinning operations. This 10-tonne load bearing forwarder is designed to complement our harvesters. With its low dead load and high steering angle, the F28 is a nimble machine for efficiently transporting timber from stump to roadside.


          CHASSIS
          The FR28 forwarder is mainly used in young sections of forest kept rather dense. This requires that the forwarder, too, is of suitable size. The small dimensions are connected with optimized weight division between front and rear axles. Together with articulated steering that turns 45 degrees result to a unique maneuverability.

          The bottom is even and flat also below the engine. The forwarder width is 2720 mm (wheels 710/40-22.5). The spacious lower chassis allows the use of 900 mm tracks.The loading space length may alter between 3.8 and 4.4 metres.

          DRIVE TRANSMISSION

          The FR28 forwarder is equipped with hydrostatic-mechanical transmission. The drive pump runs a mechanical gearbox. The transmission axles then divide the traction force to the front and rear bogies. The traction can be locked between the front and rear as well as between the left and right side of each bogie. The NAF bogies guarantee a continuous totally 13 tons traction force.

          CAB
          The Sampo Rosenlew factory also manufactures the spacious, silent cab which helps the operator to work efficiently. It meets the official safety standards and is specially designed to be used in dense thinning forest when the remaining trees must be left unharmed. The unique visibility also helps in this.

          The cab features many details that make it easier for the operator to work and feel more comfortable. There is, for example a switch to open the engine hood with an electric motor. All these also help the operator work efficiently even long shifts in thinning harvesting.

          ERGONOMY
          In the spacious cab special attention has been paid to visibility. Lower part of the crane is very narrow thus enabling unhindered view to loading direction. The windows are placed so that it is very easy to see the wheels.

          Thanks to low engine rpm, clever hydraulic system and high quality noise insulation, the cab is amazingly silent and comfortable. It is equipped with several details to make operators work easier and more pleasant: a refrigerated sandwich box as an example.

          CRANE
          The FR28 forwarder has a 10-metre reach crane specially designed for thinning operations. The low construction of the crane improves the sideways stability and visibility. Crane can be equipped with a weighing scale, not only to control harvesting but also to prevent harmful overloading.

          LOAD SPACE
          Even though the timber from thinning harvesting is mainly relatively short pulp wood, you can quite as well load saw logs. The forwarder can be ordered from the factory with loading space length between 3.8 and 4.4 meters. The headboard in front of the load space is hydraulically adjustable.

          SERVICE
          The numerous service-friendly details of the forwarder tell about the Sampo Rosenlew machine construction traditions. As a practical proof you can find for example a vacuum pump in the hydraulic system. It prevents oil leakages during service measures and in connection with damaged hoses or other components. The forwarder operator can switch on the pump with ignition key immediately if there is a leakage. No oil is wasted or spilled in the nature.
          Hydraulic oil filling pump keeps all impurities outside the system. In connection of a periodical or other service oil is pumped through the return filter. This helps considerably in keeping the system clean.

          ENGINE
          As the source of power we are using a Tier 4 final phase 49 AWF common rail diesel manufactured by the Agco Power company in Finland with decades of experience. Minimal fuel consumption together with long service intervals guarantee that this low-emission engine is inexpensive to use. It provides 124 kW power and 700 Nm torque.
