        Xcelerate is intended to be used to load workpieces into one machine at a time. Whether used on an old or new milling machine, lathe, measuring bench, bench grinder or another machine, Xcelerate can ensure that production batches are automatically completed. When Xcelerate is not in use, the robotic arm folds away and the machine is free to be used in regular production. This enables the specialist and the machine to concentrate on more challenging work during regular working hours. It is even possible, and simple, to relocate Xcelerate with a pallet jack if you wish to automate different machines at different times.

        Xcelerate is reliable and can be quickly installed on the shop floor. Due to the easy-to-use software, our customers find that they experience an increase in their production capacity from day one with the same number of staff. Xcelerate can load a wide range of products and is therefore universal, and can even be used for smaller batches. What’s more, if standard product grippers are not sufficient for loading a complex product shape, you can make custom ‘fingers’ using the templates or we can deliver them to you.

        Elevate is the automation solution that maximises product storage capacity whilst using the smallest possible floor space. A large variety of products can be flexibly handled by storing the products on trays. Elevate can operate one or more lathes, milling machines or other types of machines.

        Due to the ergonomic loading position, the products can simply be placed on a tray using a drawer. The tray is then stored in the Elevate and is ready for the robot on demand.

        The place of the active tray from which the robot retrieves and delivers products has a separate position., so the lift and the robot can work parallel to each other. So if, for example, you request a tray with manufactured products, the lift can pick it up without interrupting the robot’s work. If Elevate is loading several machines, a second operating position is possible.

        Since the robot is separate from the lift, a wide assortment of robots with different payloads is available. Long-term autonomy of your machine(s) is guaranteed due to the large storage capacity.

        Modulerate is modular and functional. Modulerate can be used by any machine shop that wants to automate its milling process, and that also requires pallet loading, product loading and optional tool interchangeability. Due to Modulerate’s modular design, the system can be set up to fit your work process optimally. Modulerate is suitable for automating one machine and can be expanded to be used with a second machine. Due to the position of the robot in the cell, machines can be loaded from the side and the front. Modulerate is suitable for most commonly used machines, but we can also provide a tailored solution for your special machine. It offers considerable flexibility and is therefore suitable for product batches of 1 to 500 units. Modulerate’s functionality and storage capacity can be expanded later on, meaning you are always ready for the future.         Modularity and functionality are masterfully combined in the Skid. Due to the system’s modular design, automation can grow with the customer’s production process. And because both functionalities as well as pallet and product handling can be added to and interchanged, Skid is an efficient solution for automating one to two machines. Skid is often used for handling single pallets of more than 125 kg, in combination with product handling. Tool handling can be added if the machine controls can be modified to allow for this. Skid is controlled via intelligent and user-friendly software that gives the operator lots of information to help them optimise the production process. The software can also be integrated with the top-layer MES and ERP software. The machine gate ensures the machine stays accessible. Skid can be used for product batches of 1 to 500 units. Skid often handles products that have a cycle time of 6 to 60 minutes per product. Skid’s modularity allows it to be expanded/converted into the Track system.

        Toolchanger is an external storage warehouse for tools. The system is machine brand-independent and provides a large storage capacity on limited floor space due to the use of rotating carousels. The storage medium can store different tool types such as SK, HSK, BT and CAPTO. Due to the simple controls, inserting, removing and/or replacing tools is very simple.

        Toolchanger is quick and uses little energy. This is due to the use of a robot and servomotors on the carousel. The robot manoeuvres tools to the machine and you can choose to load directly to the spindle, to the machine’s tool warehouse or to the chain. The machine takes precedence, the robot is auxiliary.

          Anton Paar produces, develops and sells measuring tools for a range of different applications. The company was founded in 1922 and is located in Graz, Austria. The company specialises in devices for measuring density, concentration and rheology and for determining the amount of CO2 in dissolved carbon dioxide. Anton Paar employs around 2,500 members of staff, who use automation solutions daily for the production of virtually all of the company’s measuring tools. While a typical batch consists of 100 workpieces, this number can rise to 500 and even to 1,000 workpieces in extreme cases.

          Xcelerate is often used in turning and milling machines. The decision to use Xcelerate arises from the difficulty in finding qualified staff capable of carrying out this work, particularly for the afternoon and night shifts.
        • Rijk Imminkhuizen / Xcelerate

          Imminkhuizen Metaaltechniek specialises in the production of parts for machine manufacturers. The company supplies a full range of products for the manufacture of small-scale to extremely large machines in various sectors, including food, shipping and transport. These sectors demand a high degree of efficiency and flexibility from their suppliers.

          Imminkhuizen started by looking for an automation system that would allow for the production of relatively simple product series in large batch numbers. “This type of system enables us to compete effectively with low-wage countries. I think this is truly important for production in the Netherlands”, he explains. It enables Dutch machining companies to offer high-quality production at globally competitive prices.

          Imminkhuizen ultimately opted for the compact and multifunctional Xcelerate. This robot takes care of handling activities for processing discs of up to 150 mm. It also can be used for the (two-sided) processing of bars up to lengths of 700 mm. Due to its modular design, the same system can easily be modified for other applications and products.

          Automating a highly repetitive production cycle 24/7 is relatively straightforward. On the other hand, when production encompasses many different products and unpredictable demand, automation poses quite a challenge. This was exactly the situation in which the Dutch machining company MCM found itself.

          Currently, the Skid is up and running in MCM’s production facility in the Dutch town of Liessel. It allows the company to answer their client’s assignments more efficiently, thus increasing their profitability.
      • Fixture Exchange and Collet Exchange

      • The Collet Exchange and Fixture Exchange increase the flexibility of a production cell. These systems allow you to work on different dimensions in succession. You are not bound by having to work on a single size. Quite often, the machine clamp and collet chuck determine which piece can be machined. The Collet and Fixture Exchange allow you to make changes without being bound to a specific diameter for your piece.

        The Collet Exchange is used for round products and diameters. The Fixture Exchange is used for rectangular products. Collets are for lathes. Fixtures (or machine clamps) are for milling machines.

        Previously, Xcelerate enabled a user to load one series of similar pieces. With the Collet Exchange and Fixture Exchange, you can change the collet or fixture, so that you are no longer dependent on the size of the machine clamp or collet chuck. This can be done without any intervention required from an operator.
