            • NSL Monobloc without bearing

            • The centrifugal pump is for small capacities and limited space.
              This version has no pump bearings, only the ball bearings in the standard electric motor.
              The power transmission is by rigid coupling.
              Dismantling of the pump parts is possible without removing the pump casing from the piping.

            • The centrifugal pump for major capacities and heavy loads, especially recommended where the advantage of the spacer coupling is of no importance and where a small overall height is required. The pump is equipped with a separate rear cover with a ball bearing and a separate motor bracket. Dismantling of the rotating pump parts is possible without removing the pump casing from the piping.

            • The DESMI DSL centrifugal pumps are single-stage, double-suction, vertical, in-line pumps.

              The design of the suction side provides for a perfect flow, and the inlet is placed in line with the outlet. Add to this the advanced double-suction impeller and the result is high efficiency and low NPSH-values.
              The construction of the DSL is based on CAD and CAM, and it has been refined to make maximum use of the newest CNC processing technology.

              is the result of further development of the well-known DESMI Modular S pump series. The aim has been to produce a series of non self-priming horizontal pumps, based on the same components as the S series. The H pump series has been computer designed in accordance with the latest principles, and the result is a modern, compact pump of ideal dimensions for simple and quick dismantling.                 The DESLUBE series is a submerged deep well pump designed for Main Engine Lubrication oil supply for especially large two-stroke engines.
                The design is based on our long time experience of manufacturing deep-well pumps as well as the design features from our in-line centrifugal series.
                The pump is placed in the tank sump supported by dome flange and requires no further suspension. The sturdy construction ensures a reliable operation with low noice and vibrations level.
                DESLUBE combine the advantage of good suction ability with the nature of the centrifugal pump to adopt the system pressure fluctuations. If the lube oil pressure is dropping, a DESLUBE pump will increase the flow to reduce the risk of severe damage and eventually break down on the main engine.

              • Ballast Pumps

              • Ballast pumps are crucial for the operation of most vessels. They pump water in and out of the ballast water tanks during loading, off-loading and trim of the vessel. The pumps often require low NPSHr and high flow. Pressure can be increased if a Ballast Water Treatment System is installed.
              • Ballast Stripping Pumps/Ejectors

              • In most cases ballast pumps will not be able to completely empty the ballast water tanks. In order to do this a ballast stripping unit is required. This unit should have good priming capabilities and low NPSHr.
              • Base Oil Pumps

              • Base oil is a thin oil used in the offshore industry to mix with drilling mud. The application is only used on offshore vessels like rigs and offshore supply vessels.
              • Bilge Pumps

              • Bilge pumps play a vital role in the operation of vessels - both in the daily use and in case of emergency. After cleaning or repairwork inside the engine room, some water or other liquids will run into the bilge wells. These wells are then emptied by means of a bilge pump. As the water may contain oil it needs to be cleaned before pumping overboard. For daily use a small pump will handle the task, however, when an emergency arise it may be necessary to use an emergency bilge pump. In such cases one of the SW cooling pumps, a ballast pump, a fire pump or a general service pump can be used and thus serve a dual purpose.
              • Boiler Circulation Pumps

              • Most vessels have one or more boilers onboard for different applications - e.g. exhaust gas or oil fired boilers. If the boiler is filled with water it may be necessary to force the circulation within the boiler. For this purpose a boiler circulation pump is needed.
              • Boiler Feed Pumps

              • Most vessels have one or more boilers onboard for different applications such as exhaust gas or oil fired boilers. If the boiler is filled with water it is recessary to re-fill it with water when steam is leaving the boiler. For this purpose a boiler feed water pump is needed.
              • Brine Pumps

              • Brine pumps are used to pump cold brine in a closed circuit from the evaporator that creates the cold to the cooling surfaces where the cold is needed. This could be in a HVAC system or a fish freezing system. The brine is often filled with e.g. salt which allows the brine to be cooled down to below the normal freezing point of water. This high content of salt gives the brine a very high density which can be as much as 2.5 kg/litre.
              • Drill Water Pumps

              • Drill water pumps are only applied by the offshore industry. Drill water is used during the drilling of the oil well. The liquid can be both seawater as well as fresh water dependent on the rig arrangement.
              • Emergency Fire Pumps

              • The worst thing that can happen to a vessel - besides going down - is fire. In the event of fire it is crucial that sufficient water is available at sufficient pressure in order to be able to extinguish the fire. For this purpose several fire pumps are required.

              • Fresh Water Cooling Pumps

              • A lot of equipment onboard a vessel generates heat which needs to be removed, and a good way to do this is to cool it with water. This could be the case for thruster units, hydraulic units, cooling units and many other types of equipment. Fresh water is used to remove this surplus heat.
              • Fuel Oil Transfer/Service Pumps

              • Diesel engines and boilers need fuel. The fuel can be both marine diesel oil (MDO) or heavy fuel oil (HFO). But more and more areas at sea are being restricted as to burning fuel containing sulphur. Fuel transfer pumps are used for pumping fuel from one tank to another. Service pumps are used for fuel supply to fuel consumers.
              • General Service Pumps

              • Many vessels are equipped with a general service pump which can be used for more applications such as e.g. bilge, ballast or fire.
              • HT/LT Fresh Water Cooling Pumps

              • Low temperature (LT) and high temperature (HT) systems are some of the large systems onboard a vessel. The purpose of these systems is to cool main engine, auxiliary engines, and other equipment in the engine room which needs to be cooled-down. The system is always a closed system where the same water is circulated continuously. The central fresh water cooler makes sure that the temperature is kept on an suitable level.
              • Inert Gas Cooling / Scrubber Pumps

              • Inert gas is used onboard tankers with flamable cargo. It is pumped into the tank to 10141 the atmospheric air as this contains oxygen which can make the cargo ignite. Inert gas can be nitrogen from a nitrogen generator or exhaust gas from a inert gas generator where fuel has been burned using the oxygen. However, after the burning the inert gas needs to be cooled.
              • Lubrication Oil Pump

              • The main engine needs a continuous flow of lubrication oil to lubricate all parts inside the engine and to cool the lower side of the pistons. Without these pumps the main engine cannot operate.
              • Main Engine Preheating Pumps

              • Main engine preheating pumps are only in operation when the main engine is not running. The purpose of this system is to keep a constant, high temperature in the main engine in order to avoid unnecessary heat and cold contractions and thus keep the engine ready to run at all times.
              • Potable/Drinking Water Pumps

              • The crew onboard vessels needs water to shower for cooking, drinking and so on. This system is supported by one or two potable water pumps.
              • Seawater Cooling Pumps

              • A seawater cooling pump takes suction from the sea chest, pumps the seawater through the central FW cooler(s) and then overboard.
                The system can be designed with two or three pumps. The pumps are crucial for the operation of the vessel and they are always running.
              • Sewage Pumps

              • Sewage from the accommodation is handled by a special system where the sewage pump is a important part.
              • Sludge/Dirty Oil Pumps

              • Sludge is residue from purifiers after the lube and fuel oil have been purified. The sludge or dirty oil is stored in a tank from where it is being removed when the tank is full. The pump has a low amount of running hours.

                    • DESMI Ro-Clean offers a diverse range of inshore and costal oil containment booms to meet your operational needs, whether that is fast response, ease of deployment or longevity.
                      TROILBOOM is a highly popular lightweight rapid response boom - ideal for ports and harbours. TROILBOOM can be supplied on boom reels that enable you to deploy 200 metres or more in less than 5 minutes!
                      The RO-FENCE is a robost and durable boom designed for long-term installations where round the clock protection is required. The sturdy base fabric is the same that has been used for the last 25 years in the wellproven RO-BOOM. Floatation is provided by impact and abrasion resistant moulded polyethylene floats.
                      The RO-BOOM BEACH is a specialised boom with twin water tubes used for the transition between water and land or in swampy or marshy conditions with low water levels.
                      The original RO-BOOM is also available in smaller sizes to suit inshore and costal waters. All our booms are fitted with handles for ease of use, supplied with common connectors and a choice of section lengths.

                    • After the oil is encountered by using a sweeping formation the task is then to recover as much of the oil on water as possible, normally with as little water content as possible. DESMI has the entire range of skimmers available today. Our capacities are ranging from 2 – 250 m³/h The types of skimmers available includes Weir, Oleophilic, Vacuum and Belt Skimmers.
                      As a specialty DESMI has invented the DBD Type of skimmers where one floating body can be easily used as a Disc, Brush or Drum Skimmer. By using this concept one skimmer can be used with three different Oleophilic principles depending on the type of oil to be recovered. This allows our customers to have flexibility combined with economical sense.
                      Our Mop-Rope Skimmer should also be highlighted. No other skimmer type is so flexible and can enter to narrow spaces as a Mop-Rope Skimmer. Especially in harbours and for the industry this type of skimmer is second-to-none.

                    • An area of Oil Spill Response that is often over looked or under-resourced, storage is critical in any operation. DESMI has a range of tanks from the famous RO-TANK to the inexpensive open topped AFTI and TROILTANKS.
                      The RO-TANK surpasses all other flexible membrane structures for abrasion resistance and sheer robustness in this category.
                      It is manufactured from the same material as Ro-Boom and can be deployed and used on land, sea or even on the back of a truck.
                      It is available in a variety of sizes and can be supplied with pump out solutions and special cleaning apparatus for internal cleaning.
                      The AFTI and TROILTANKS are a low cost solution for open top tanks. Indeed, the smaller version can also be used for decontamination.
                    • Dispersant System

                    • The dispersant spray systems from DESMI are well known for their reliability and rugged construction. Diesel and electrically driven sets are available and the system can offer both neat and dilute concentrations.
                      The equipment can be skid mounted or ‘built in’ and adds to the operational flexibility.
                      The spray arms can be up to 9m long and have an option of ‘drop’ hoses to ensure consistent and even coverage of the approved dispersant.
                      The arms can either be easily removed and dismantled or swung to a park position normally in line with the ships rails.

Under these circumstances, the Troilboom AF (Air Filled) offers a light weight rapid response solution. Selection of a good location to deploy the oil containment system is dependent upon prior planning and understanding of the currents. Drift studies, river run off histories, tidal current tables and charts, plus computer modeling are all useful tools to understand the flow patterns and to develop recovery strategies. Reading the currents and flow patterns require practice and understanding of the hydrodynamics involved. Several things may be helpful to define these patterns. Selection of a containment area where a lower current exists is desirable and this will allow wider deflection angles and reduce drag forces on the boom.
