SHUT-OFF VALVES WITH BAR ACTUATORS
-
One-piece shut-off valve which is seated centrally and designed to favor flow. It is tight closing in both flow directions. The seat seal is vulcanized on a carrier ring and exchangeable.
The shut-off valve is pneumatically double- or single-actuated or can be opened or closed using spring force. It has a flange connection for clamping between flanges acc. to DIN 2501.
The pneumatic control of the actuator is optionally carried out with a directly mounted or separate 5/2 or 3/2 way valve which can be operated electrically, pneumatically or manually.
Neutral gases or liquids with a viscosity of up to 120 mm²/s can be used as flow media. It should be noted that media that increase the actuation torque require a different actuator assignment. In case of aggressive media, please refer to the material resistance tables ZXWBT343.

BAR-AGTURN - THE VERSATILE ACTUATOR
- With 40 years of experience in automation we are able to
meet the current requirements of the valve market and together with the bar-agturn
we have developed a new pneumatic quarter-turn actuator for our diverse
customer groups.
Thanks to its special design, robust construction and great versatility in technical characteristics, we fulfil the demands from the plant designer and plant manufacturer to the user.
This covers a very wide range of torque values and swivel angles.
agturn With Hydraulic Damping
- The hydraulic damping is an additional module for extending the switching time. By means of a piston running in a cylinder with hydraulic medium, a uniform switching speed is achieved.
The torque is maintained and jerky movements are prevented, thus protecting the pipelines, fittings and the slewing drive itself.
Hydraulic damping is used for flapping valves such as double eccentric flaps and is used to prevent water hammer.
It can be variably adjusted whether a damping effect is only present in the end positions or whether a uniform speed is produced over the entire swing angle.
The design of the hydraulic damping is compact. The module is also designed to be tamper-proof, so that no unplanned changes to the settings are possible.
Extended Rotating Angle Up To 180°

The actuator series agturn with the extended rotating angles 120°/135°/180° can be used for valves which have a working range beyond the standard 90° opening angle, e.g. 3-way valves as well as pipe diverters and hinged boxes.
With our variable adjustment options, any desired rotating angle between 90° and 180° can be precisely adjusted to the individual valve. This reduces the number of variants, increases availability in the application, and reduces stock-keeping.

MANUAL OVERRIDE
- With the emergency hand actuator type HNG, automatic
valves with double and single-acting actuators can be manually operated at
any time.
In the case of failure in the air or electricity supply the actuator can be operated by means of a disengageable worm drive with hand wheel.
A mounting kit between actuator and valve does not belong to the delivery package of the emergency hand actuator and is to be ordered separately.
PRESSURE BOOSTER
- The pressure booster multibar doubles the torque of
pneumatic actuators.
To double the existing control pressure takes place without additional use of energy. At control pressure above 5 bar the output pressure will be limited to 10 bar.
An example for only one of a couple of applications: by use of multibar a smaller actuator could be used to actuate the same kind of valve which leads to more cost efficiency.
