Eight years ago, they revolutionized their storage processes at their Kaufbeuren manufacturing site by installing four Kardex Shuttles. This state-of-the-art storage solution optimized storage capacity while minimizing the footprint. By strategically placing these machines across two floors with access openings on the ground and first floor, STW significantly reduced employee walking distances, improving overall efficiency and workflow.
Recognizing the critical importance of product availability, STW has now integrated Kardex Connect, a digital service that ensures prompt and reliable support. Kardex Connect offers remote support, allowing immediate assistance from afar.
“When a customer experiences an issue, they trigger a remote case, and we receive a notification. After assessing the situation, we consult with the customer to determine if remote access is feasible. Once granted, we securely connect to the device, resolving the issue collaboratively,” explains Martin Steinhauer, Technician Expert Helpdesk at Kardex. If a problem cannot be resolved remotely, a service technician is briefed and arrives on-site perfectly prepared.
