On April 16, 2025, Hangcha Group held the groundbreaking ceremony for its new manufacturing facility in Chonburi, Thailand—marking a major step in the company’s global growth strategy and commitment to the Southeast Asian market.
The new plant, operated by Hangcha Group Thailand Manufacturing Co., Ltd., represents a $20 million investment. It will focus on the production of forklifts, aerial work platforms, and lithium battery assemblies. This facility plays a critical role in advancing Hangcha’s smart manufacturing initiatives, green energy development, and global expansion plans.
Located in a major industrial development zone, the site spans over 35,000 square meters and includes a modern office building. Once operational by the end of 2025, the plant will produce 10,000 units annually—ranging from counterbalance forklifts to scissor and boom lifts. The facility is set to strengthen Hangcha’s global manufacturing, supply chain, and delivery capabilities.
During the ceremony, Jason Wu, Vice President of Overseas Markets at Hangcha Group, stated:
“This marks a key milestone in our global expansion. Our Thailand base reflects a shift from exporting products to exporting capabilities—from ‘Made in China’ to ‘Made for the World.’
“Win-win cooperation is central to Hangcha’s culture. Whether in China or abroad, we are committed to building strong, local partnerships. This plant is a symbol of our integration with local resources and our vision for sustainable global growth.”
The Chonburi facility is expected to serve as a vital hub connecting Southeast Asia to global markets. It will improve market responsiveness, enhance customer service, and increase product competitiveness—further cementing Hangcha’s position as a leading global material handling equipment manufacturer.
With this strategic investment, Hangcha Group continues its mission to drive smart, sustainable manufacturing and foster international cooperation—paving the way for a stronger, more connected future in global logistics and industrial innovation.
