ACD Elektronik GmbH wins the German Innovation Award 2020 for the M2Smart

ACD Elektronik GmbH is one of the winners of the worldwide renowned innovation award, the German Innovation Award.

The prize was awarded for the contribution “Industrial handheld computers rethought: the modular M2Smart® platform” in the category “#W2 Excellence in Business to Business – Information Technologies | Industry Specific and Service Softwares”. The German Innovation Award is presented once a year by the German Design Council for innovations – which advance the industry through their originality, implementation and effectiveness. ACD Elektronik GmbH was able to prevail among 700 submissions with its contribution to the Mobile Handheld Computer M2Smart®.

Industrial handheld computer rethought: the modular M2Smart® platform

The innovative M2Smart®, a mobile industrial device with Android™ Industrial+ was able to convince the independent, international jury of experts with its outstanding innovative performance. The special feature of the industrial handheld computer M2Smart® is a patented sliding mechanism that allows modules to be attached quickly and without tools. A wide variety of modules, such as emergency stop buttons, keyboards, RFID readers, temperature sensors, printers and payment modules can be attached easily and without great effort and can also be adapted to customer specifications. The variety of end devices is thus significantly reduced, which provides the user with a clear advantage as well as measurable time and cost savings. ACD Elektronik GmbH has already won the iF Design Award with the M2Smart® 2020. Together with the award now received, this is a great success for this innovative product.
