cab’s thermal transfer ribbons made on a wax base are developed for printing on paper labels. Even on rough paper surfaces they provide convincing results. The CW43 type is a ribbon in the entry price segment and especially offered to companies in transport and logistics.

“This sector requires a lot of typical label applications”, says Heiko Weber, cab Sales Manager for consumables: “Starting with the identification and labeling of products, followed by their order picking, palletizing and storage as well as targeted control of the flow of goods in transport and shipment.”

Designed for applications using low printing energy

The CW43 ribbon is optimized for high resolution codes, logos, numbers and characters in thermal transfer printing. Wax as the carrier of the paint particles melts very well into the label material. The ribbon complies to food safety regulations according to ISEGA and works with all cab label printers. Widths from 55 to 110 millimeters are offered as standards, further widths are on request.

Properties of the label material are deciding factors

“Papier labels”, says Heiko Weber, “are as versatile as its printing options. Depending on the user requirements, smooth wood-free paper, paper with a rough surface or first-class paper with a special coating is used in logistics. Blank or pre-colored material, matt or glossy. To get an optimum printing result, printer, labels and ribbon have to fit together.”
