Enerpac introduces its new ETR-Series Trolley System

The ETR-Series Trolley System is comprised of electrically driven trolleys which can carry heavy loads horizontally along a fixed, guided track system. With a 50-ton (500kN) and 100-ton (1000kN) capacity per trolley, load movements are more stable due to the continuous movement and ability to precisely control travel speed including acceleration and deceleration, offering a clean operation.

A typical system includes 4 trolleys, 2 tracks, and 1 controller. Each trolley is tested under witness of Lloyd’s Register. Trolley Systems are statically tested at overload and are subject to a loaded functional test. For a safe and efficient method to move assemblies through production stations, the trolley system is the ideal solution as it is suited for repetitive movements and can be easily configured to accept a wide variety of load configurations.

Synchronized travel

The Trolley System provides automatic synchronization of traveling with an accuracy of 0.39 inch (10 mm). An operator has the ability to combine up to eight trolley units synchronized together.

Continuous movement

Sensitive equipment cannot withstand frequent stops and starts in movement without risking damage. Enerpac Trolley Systems are controlled by an inverter which allows speed to ramp up smoothly, maintain continuous movement and slow down smoothly preventing hard starts and stops. The standard control panel includes software with pre-programmed ramp up and down speeds.

Travel speed

The Trolley System speeds up job completion with 50 m/hour (164 ft/hour) loaded travel speed; 100 m/hour (328 ft/hour) unloaded/reset speed.

Safe travel

Traveling on guided low-profile tracks with controlled synchronization eliminates risks of moving large loads at overhead height. With the Trolley System user can move loads at ground level, on a dedicated path and eliminate swinging loads.

Field proven

The Trolley System was successfully deployed on a jack-up vessel for Geotechnical & Offshore Solutions’ HoheSee and Albatros offshore wind farm projects. This involved transporting 560 ton offshore wind monopile transition pieces 295 ft. across the ship’s deck to bring them within range of the on-board crane for offshore installation. It was a fast-performing solution that minimized the time during load-out of foundations on board their offshore installation vessels.

Capacity per Trolley Unit: 55-110 ton
