Habasit presents timing belts with clever joining techniques and a wide range of applications at the FMB Süd.
The operating costs of conveyor lines depend to a large extent on the reliability of the belts and straps used as well as short installation and maintenance processes. Habasit, the leading supplier of conveyor and processing belts, offers its high-quality HabaSYNC® timing belts with practical mechanical end connections for quick replacement to meet these requirements. Alternatively, endless belts can be spliced directly on site using mobile heating presses. Downtimes can thus be significantly reduced. Habasit will be presenting its extensive range of timing belts at the FMB Süd trade fair on 12 and 13 February 2020 in Hall 1, Stand C7.
Disruptions in the material flow lead to high costs, because machines and plants must run as uninterruptedly as possible. Maintenance work on conveyor systems should therefore be minimized as far as possible. One of the most time-consuming tasks is changing timing belts. The often difficult access makes their replacement when worn or damaged a cumbersome procedure. Habasit therefore focuses on high quality timing belts and simple, reliable end connections. This significantly reduces downtime. HabaSYNC® timing belts are available in a wide variety of shapes, lengths, textures and surfaces, and are made of durable materials.
Habasit offers a wide range of timing belts for machine and plant manufacturers: The belt widths range from 10 millimeters to 600 millimeters. The timing belts are made of thermoplastic polyurethane and some have an FDA/EU-compliant fabric coating. The thermoplastic polyurethane with a hardness of 85 to 92 Shore A is also a material that offers excellent properties in a wide range of applications: On the one hand it is resistant to oil, grease or chemical agents, on the other hand it is resistant to hydrolysis. For particularly heavy loads, the endless HabaSYNC® Flex timing belts are the first choice. Spirally wound tensile members provide increased tensile strength compared to timing belts with one end splice.
Solid design and manufacturing of HabaSYNC® timing belts in combination with high quality materials ensure a long service life and easy cleaning and maintenance processes. This has a positive effect on the operating costs of machines and conveyor systems. After all, replacing timing belts is often a laborious and time-consuming process. By using Habasit’s Hinge Joint, Pin Joint and PA Hinge mechanical end connections, such changes are considerably simplified and time is reduced. Even timing belts with coatings can be easily spliced with these variants, while retaining all teeth completely and without gaps.
End-jointed timing belts are advantageous for higher transport loads. Habasit offers the portable PML-100 end splice heating press for on-site installation. It enables hot splicing of fabric belts and timing belts. Belts and belts can be spliced directly in the plant for new installations or repairs.
