Hangcha Group, a global leader in industrial vehicles and intelligent logistics solutions, and Manitou Group, a worldwide reference in material handling, aerial work platforms and earthmoving sectors, today inaugurated HM Battery Solutions (HMBS), which specializes in the manufacture and distribution of lithium-ion batteries.

The inauguration of the HM Battery Solutions facility took place today in the presence of numerous elected officials and journalists. Specializing in the design and assembly of high-performance lithium-ion battery modules and packs, this new structure embodies a clear ambition for HM Battery Solutions: to become the European benchmark in the optimization of electric industrial equipment, by leveraging the technological potential of lithium to increase fleet longevity and sustainably decarbonize the industry.

HMBS specializes in the design and assembly of LFP (lithium iron phosphate) battery modules, packs and dedicated chargers. The 3,000+ m2 facility features two advanced production lines, with over 250 models already developed, ranging from 5kWh to over 45kWh.
Huashu Jin, General Manager of Hangcha Group, said: “Hangcha and Manitou have shared two decades of partnership, evolving from product collaboration to deep technological and capital integration. HMBS marks a major milestone in our strategic alliance. Combining Hangcha’s lithium battery technology with Manitou’s European market reach, we are delivering high-performance, reliable new-energy solutions to European customers, backed by a local after-sales network.”
Sylvain Blaise, CEO of Manitou, said: “It is with great pride that we inaugurate this facility dedicated to the design and assembly of lithium-ion batteries. Alongside Hangcha Group and Manitou Group, we have developed this site to serve as a model of performance and social commitment. Our roots are deeply local, and we place inclusion and diversity at the core of our development.”
