As a specialist in Motion Centric Automation, Lenze always pays special attention to concrete applications whenever the company wishes to extend the range of products it offers. “Our portfolio is scalable and precisely tailored to the requirements of specific applications. With a scaling of 100 for simple machine tasks and up to 900 for more complex ones – from control units to gearboxes– our customers can easily find the best solution for their application. This is a further step in the direction of easy engineering”, declared Rune Friis-Knutzen, Head of Strategic Product and Market Development Electromechanics.

In time for the Hannover Trade Fair, Lenze is adding a new g700 planetary gearbox to its range of solutions for servo applications with demanding requirements regarding overload capacity and dynamics. It can typically be used in conjunction with synchronous motors, the i700 servo controllers as well as control units and HMI systems in multi-axis materials-handling applications.

Less than six months after introduction of the g500 gearbox series for standard applications, Lenze is now presenting a purebred servo gearbox for combination with the company’s own asynchronous and synchronous servo motors. The one-, two- and three-stage planetary gearboxes come in five sizes and cover torques ranging from 20 to 800 Nm.

The g700 planetary gearboxes have been specifically designed for servo applications with average performance in terms of rigidity and dynamics. The characteristic inner values of the gearbox are: uniform hardening of all gearing components, ground and honed outer teeth as well as full complement needle planetary wheel bearings with maximum dynamic load rating.
