Container version of the new Linde series of electric forklift trucks on the market

Flat 4 to 5-tonne electric container forklift trucks from Linde

Last year saw Linde Material Handling launch the E20 to E50 Linde electric container forklift truck series onto the market, in 19 different standard model designs. The range of versions on offer is now even more impressive thanks to the new E40 to E50 Linde truck models with a lower overall height for four, four and a half and five tonne-load capacities.

The special models in the current Linde series of electric forklift trucks are primarily used in container yards or by companies, which require the trucks to be driven through doors with a particularly low overhead clearance or to be used in hall areas with low ceilings. The new truck models, popularly referred to as “container versions”, have an overall height of just 2220 millimetres, meaning that they are 140 millimetres lower than the standard electric forklift trucks with a lifting capacity of 4 to 5 tonnes. All three container version truck models have a load centre of gravity (LSP) of 600 millimetres. What’s more, the Linde E 50 model gives you the option of two LSP versions of the standard models (500 and 600 millimetres).

When it comes to the two Linde E40 and E45 models, a triplex lift mast can be used to reach a lift height of 4225 millimetres, while a triplex lift mast is fitted to Linde E50 models for a lift height of 3925 millimetresand maximum free lift.

Particular importance has been placed on the ergonomic design of the container versions of the new Linde electric forklift trucks, in order to support and ease the strain on the driver. For this reason, the trucks also have seats with extra padding and a wider seat surface in standard and comfort designs, keeping vibrations that affect drivers at bay wherever possible.

As with other models, the battery in the container models can be charged by the Linde on-board charger (optional) and active breather at flexible locations, without needing to open the battery hood or the cab doors to let gas escape from the battery. Customers who want to change the battery quickly while using the container can do this at the side of the vehicle using a battery support or battery palette.
