Linde: Uniform standard, specific equipment packages

From now on, tested used trucks from Linde Material Handling can be upgraded with ten different function packages to suit specific applications. Based on the “mix and match” principle, customers choose only the equipment and service packages they need and benefit from the latest technological developments. The basis is always the uniform, high “Approved Trucks” reconditioning standard. This new concept replaces the previous reconditioning levels “Plus”, “Super” and “Ultra”.

Used trucks have many advantages. They are immediately available, attractively priced and make a positive contribution to sustainability by extending the life cycle of the industrial trucks and helping to save resources. Fleet operators who opt for an Approved Trucks used truck from Linde Material Handling can enjoy further benefits. “In order to ensure the uniformly high quality standard we specify, we attach great importance to an impeccable history of the used trucks,” emphasises Simon Thevenet, Senior Manager UT & STR. Only the industrial trucks retreaded in Linde reconditioning centres receive the “Approved Truck” quality seal. They make up the extensive stock of Linde used trucks from which interested parties can select individual models or entire fleets.

Those who wish can now upgrade their truck further and choose from an initial total of ten different equipment and service packages. “Internal evaluations have shown that these options are in particularly high demand,” explains Thevenet. Individually or in combination, the vehicles can thus be adapted to individual, mission-specific requirements. The packages range from safety, ergonomics and energy to service and extended warranty. They all aim to increase the efficiency and productivity of operations. Fleet operators who choose the “Safety Pack”, for example, receive features tailored to the specific truck model. For counterbalance trucks, these include the “BlueSpot” warning light, the visually striking “Orange Belt” seat belt and a panoramic interior mirror. The “Driver Pack” includes a completely renewed workplace with floor mat, upholstery for seat and armrest as well as new rubber coating for joystick and accelerator pedals. With the “Energy Pack”, fleet managers acquire a new traction battery, and the “Colour Pack” enables individual colouring in all RAL shades. Various service packages ensure full service of the energy system, include regular and predictive maintenance or extend the warranty period. All additional functions are based on state-of-the-art Linde technology, which is also used in the latest new units. The units are configured at short notice and delivered directly to the customer’s premises.

Before a used truck receives the “Approved Trucks” quality seal, it undergoes a strict testing and reconditioning process. Only trucks that either come from the company’s own rental fleet or are recruited from leasing returns are accepted at one of the centres located throughout Europe. Their service booklet must be consistently maintained, and all maintenance must have been carried out using original Linde spare parts. The individual steps of the reconditioning process are precisely defined and guarantee a uniform standard – regardless of where the vehicle is checked from the ground up and repaired if necessary.
