Mayor and aldermen visiting Movexx

Each month the college visits a different organization in the municipality. On Tuesday, December 6, the mayor and aldermen (M&A) of the municipality of Veenendaal visited us. They exchanged experiences and explored possibilities to strengthen each other’s ambitions.   

In conversation 

The M&A went into conversation with Iris van Ravenswaaij (CEO), Gerard Mulder (operations) and Cees van Rekum (engineering). About our history, our expectations of the municipality and our view on sustainable and social entrepreneurship were discussed. We especially zoomed in to our ambition to make heavy pulling and pushing tasks more ergonomic by using smart electric tugs.  

Guided tour  

After a fascinating discussion, the M&A got a tour through the company. They took a look at production, did a round of tests on our machines and talked to some of our employees. A fun and meaningful afternoon.  

Follow-up

The visit was concluded with the agreement to work together with the municipality to tackle the parking facilities and greenery on our industrial area. In order to continue this immediately, the follow-up appointment for this has been planned. It was great to see how enthusiastic the M&A is about our products, ambition and business!
