Neugart expands their product portfolio by low-noise gearboxes

Reacting to the new requirements from the markets, Neugart expands their product portfolio by the two new series PSN and PSFN.

Previously, minimum circumferential backlash, high permissible axial and radial forces, and top power density were the primary selling points for precision gearboxes. Today, additional aspects such as smooth running, synchronisation, and low excitation frequency have come into focus, particularly in the print, packaging, assembly, or medical engineering industries. To meet these changed market demands, Neugart now presents their two new series PSN and PSFN.

While the established Neugart planetary gears are straight cut by default, the new series PSN and PSFN are helical cut.

The helical cut coaxial series is called PSN. For the HANOVER FAIR, it was offered in three installation sizes 70, 90, and 115 with a maximum transmission of 100:1 angeboten. The design is modular and matches that of the PLN series. The noise level is up to 6 dbA lower than that of the PLN series, equalling a noise reduction by two thirds.

The helical-cut variant of the flange gear is called PSFN. Here, Neugart likewise starts with the three installation sizes 64, 90, and 110. The larger installation sizes will follow over the course of the year. Like its straight-cut equivalent, the PSFN offers maximum torsional stiffness and precision. Like the PSN, it runs much smoother than the PLFN.
