More and more companies are taking the opportunity to give their Prorunner mk5 a second life. When their production or packaging lines are adapted or expanded, this vertical conveyor from Qimarox is given a new function after a minor modification. Thanks to the modular concept with first-class standard components, the Prorunner mk5 fits seamlessly into any environment.

The unpredictability and uncertainty in the market for consumer products is increasing. At the same time, the number of product launches is growing and the product ranges are expanding. This increasingly forces manufacturers of consumer products to adapt or expand existing production and packaging lines. More and more manufacturers are benefiting from the modular concept of the Prorunner mk5, the vertical conveyor system from Qimarox. With a few adjustments, their existing Prorunner can easily continue to be used after the changeover.

The Prorunner mk5 is based on a modular concept that consists entirely of standard components. This means that the configuration of this vertical transport system can be adapted within a very short time, and the essential parts (e.g. the drive) can continue to be used. By adding or removing a part, for example, the input or output height can be adjusted. Qimarox has the necessary components in stock, so customers can expect fast delivery times.

Output at multiple levels

The possibilities go far beyond an adjustment of the input or output height. For example, you can also change the input and output direction. An output to the left can also be moved to the right or to the front with a small investment. Does the extension go into the height instead of the width? With a movable track, it is possible to output products on several levels. In contrast to conventional vertical transport systems such as spiral conveyors, for example, it is not necessary to build a completely new Prorunner mk5.

Qimarox sees that more and more companies are taking the opportunity to adapt their Prorunner mk5. “Reusing components, e.g. of transport systems, not only leads to lower costs, but also fits in with a corporate culture based on sustainability and circular economy. Even if the final packaging line is completely written off, the Prorunner can still be given a second life. Thanks to the relatively simple mechanics with only a few wearing parts and thanks to the use of standard components, you can count on a long service life even with this second life,” says Jaco Hooijer, Operations Manager at Qimarox.
